Central Indiana Pacer Fans

Each off season a group of Pacer fans from around the Indianapolis area get together for a few hours to share some pizza and talk Pacers basketball face to face.

This year I've set aside Saturday July 14th for our big night.

Still working on the site but I should know something one way or another in a couple days.

Just wanted to get the word out and see if I can get a feel for how many might be interested.

If you have any questions.... ask away. If you think you might like to drop by just let me know.... no obligation ... just want to make sure we have a large enough space.

As a veteran of this event, it's always a great time! It's fun to put some faces with the names (we usually stick to screen names), and hang out with other Pacers crazies! Plus, if you say pizza, you know I'll be nearby! If you can make it, I strongly encourage you to join and discuss all things Pacers - draft, free agency, strategy, past, present, and future, and all the best "I met Player X in the men's restroom at Hooters" stories, lol

We'll have the room between 5:00 and 10:00 PM on Saturday July 14th.

Not sure how we're doing the food yet. It could be a banquet style or everyone orders off the menu.

Thanks for the kind words Pizza Guy. We've been doing this for 17 or 18 years now and they are always a blast. I hope you and your dad are able to join us again.

Just a quick update.

We're going with the "everyone orders their own" food option. I think it will be much easier for us that way.

I checked out the room and its far enough away from the main dining area that we shouldn't be bothered by the non Pacer fans and I hope we can do the same. The room seats around 40 so we'll have plenty of space.

If you decide last minute that you would like to swing by for a Dr. Pepper.... or whatever... feel free.

Come late, leave early or stay until the wee hours of the night. We're good either way.

So far it looks like about 15 total between the usual group from Pacers Digest and the group from Real GM.

I'm hoping the draft and free agency pick up the on line volume to up our numbers a little.

had about a dozen show up. I was a little surprised by the trade Myles sentiment and the disappointment we didn't make a bigger move this summer. I'm happy the players with options decided to come back and that in turn we brought the starters back and said so last night.
