Well, I don't think there are too many good things to say about the JOB era. It wasn't working out, the organization moved on, the players didn't like him, team wasn't winning, etc.

That said, there seems to be some contradiction in George's statement. He says JOB wasn't a good coach, then complains he held the players accountable on defense, and that that was a reason he started working on that part of his game and eventually he becomes one of the better defenders in the league.

Yeah, I get Pauls comment, but it doesn’t paint him out in a positive light, either.

Part of me wonders if Paul actually has any PR people or if his agent is just really bad. He does a lot of little things to make himself look a little worse each time.

O'Brien was an ass, to be fair.

It doesn't come off to me as him being resentful, but just calling it how it was. He does seem to acknowledge that it made him a better player. Don't think those two things are mutually exclusive.

actually he wasn't. I met him several times because friends of mine were his neighbors. he was friendly and quite willing to talk basketball at length. now I'm not defending his coaching.
