Cory Joseph
Do you feel he's an integral part of the rotation going into the year or do you think you'd entertain trading him for like a 2nd round pick?

Re: Cory Joseph
All along Kevin Pritchard has been pretty enthusiastic about bringing back the team that overachieved last year. Joseph opted into his player option way earlier than he needed to or anyone expected, and it was because he enjoyed being here and was committed to seeing what we can do this year. I don't think we're entirely opposed to including him in the right trade offer if one came along, one that might affect the future of the team, but I highly doubt we repay his loyalty by just shipping him out for a second round pick. Especially when his probable replacement hasn't played in a single NBA game yet.

Seriously? A 2nd round pick? HA! He's not going ANYWHERE.
And for even suggesting that (the 2nd round pick part), he is going to beat the Suns all by himself.

Don't take offense. My answer is all in fun.

Well I know he played a pretty big role, and you drafted a PG and I think have another one in addition to Collison, so I wasn't sure, since he would be expiring, if you'd want to get an asset for him...a first for him expiring seems like a bit much.
However, if I was in your shoes, I'd probably keep him and let him be primary backup while the younger guys develop since they might not be immediate contributors.

Pritchard recently stated in multiple interviews that he prefers to “redshirt” his rookies as much as possible, so he’s planning on Joseph being an integral part of the rotation. I think he can be had for value, but he’s not going to be given away for just any 2Nd round pick. If he’s only getting that, it’s much more worth keeping him for a potential playoff run.

Re: Cory Joseph
Pritchard's comments also suggest CoJo is one of the key locker room voices. He's also a key defender.
