Vic taking a charge is fast becoming one of my favourite Pacer things to see and watch

It's right up there with Reggie running through screens, and Foster fighting for a rebound

I think it doesn't get talked about enough, the way Vic beats the offensive player to get into position and set himself up picture perfect for the charge call, it's like textbook example of how to play defense; it takes a hardworking, unselfish, and intelligent player to do that constantly, and it's a hugely under appreciated part of his game

Just one of the reasons he was voted captain by his teammates along with Thad. He took Myles’ spot, but I would view that more as a statement on Vic, not at all on Myles.

Also, he took that charge late in a game that we had likely already lost, too. That’s an even bigger statement by Vic to his teammates and fans.

While I like to see players step up and "take one for the team" so to speak, I do worry about the wear and tear it has on him.

Random musing: I find it so ironic that PG wanting out, at that time widely considered an event signalling a death knell for the Pacers, ended up doing the exact opposite, a move that rejuvenated the Pacers instead

If Pacers had PG instead of Vic and Domas, they're going to be mediocre team with no easy way to improve and a somewhat bleak future

But instead, looking at the team's performance this season thus far, Vic and Domas looks like the saviour of the team; Pacers could well be on track to miss the playoffs this season with PG and the way the rest of the team has played

I think it's safe to say that PG wanting out was really a blessing in disguise; its like thank goodness PG forced the team to trade him
