Quoted this particular section because it's nice to remind everyone that Myles can light it up when given the opportunity
Both teams enter the game coming off of losses. The Pacers fell to the Rockets 98-94 on Monday night, while the 76ers dropped their game against the Brooklyn Nets 122-97.
Last Meeting
March 13, 2018: The Pacers clinched the season series victory over Philadelphia with a 101-98 victory over the 76ers.
On an off night from Victor Oladipo and Bojan Bogdanovic, the Pacers were buoyed by a huge night from Myles Turner (25 points) who made 9-of-12 shots from the field.

This will be a tough one no doubt. They aren't off to the start they had hoped for and have a chance to really gain some momentum against another team that is thought to be towards the top in the East. Would be a big one to get at home.

Philly is really overrated. Embiid is carrying them hard. Hopefully we can take this very winnable game, but it's going to be really tough handling Embiid. Neither Myles nor Domas are well equipped to defend him. Maybe time to unleash O'Quinn?

Need to keep Redick under control, he's a difference maker off the bench.

That last possession before the first timeout was particularly ugly
Thad hustled for the offensive rebound and threw it out to DC, Bogie was open but DC started dribbling instead. He tried driving to the basket, but ran into a wall of defenders and threw the ball back out to Bogie, who almost turned the ball over. After scrambling to pick up the ball, the shot clock was winding down, and Bogie tried driving... only to trip and turn the ball over

You guys will win the game here in the 3rd if you make your shots. Sixers have been horrible in the 3rd.

Pacers need to make some moves, none of our summer acquisitions are panning out aside from Evans when he decides to take the game seriously. Turner's extension is looking terrible right now, he's experiencing Hibbert type regression, it's pretty pathetic. Also, this team misses Lance's energy.
Turner, McDermott, Collison for Butler after December 15.

It's nearly impossible to trade Turner until next year. The PPP is very hard to deal.

We will struggle for PO spot with DC and Turner in starting 5... DC is not good enough and I dont Know what is happening with Myles... maybe is time to put Domas in first unit... Oladipo needs some help...

Myles needs to go. Give me a 51 year old Jeff Foster, give me Al Jefferson from the year 2031.
But I don't want Myles Turner anymore. 7 and 4 in 30 minutes? I feel like pushing him down a flight of stairs right now.

My observation.
1.) need to find way to unleash tyreke when Dipo sits.
2.) develop a unit of DC, Dipo, Tyreke, Sabonis and Turner to close out games

Can anyone tell me what's the net rating of the Domas/Myles pairing this year? It feels like we always do well with them together on the floor this season.

My posts are usually of a positive nature. However, it sure would be nice if someone other than Vic or Domas decided to play well one time. The key to last season was DC would have a big game, or Bogie, or Lance, or Thad, and on down the line. Everyone except for Vic and Domas has been MIA.

Myles seems much more mobile after his summer workouts. I think he's having to get used to his improved body.
I also think we need to get used to getting the opponents' A game every night now that we're known to be a good team. last year we could sneak up on people. no more.

How much more rope does Darren Collison get?
As a defender he is average at best. If you can't count on him to knock a shot down once in a while what good is he? I'd give him another eight games to show some improvement. If his struggles continue at some point I think you have to take a look at take a look at Aaron Holiday.

why would Holiday jump from 3 to 1? I think it is CoJo that will continue to get more time. He got 31 minutes to DC's 18 last night against Philly so McMillan is showing a willingness to give minutes to the productive player without changing the starting lineup. I think that's sound. there is no need to risk destroying a player's confidence with a demotion.

I'm less inclined to blame any one certain player. I think the ball movement is the biggest problem. This team doesn't really have an offensive system beyond "put some playmakers on the court and let them do something." And we need them to start making plays for other guys. They're not gonna win when Oladipo has to do everything. Collison: 4 total assists in our last two losses. Evans: 3 total. He's the guy that was supposed to take Lance's role as playmaker off the bench.
Most of the points scored by guys like Turner, McDermott, and Bojan should be coming off assists. If passes get made and guys are moving around, those are the guys that are gonna start knocking down shots. That's how things get opened up for other guys to get to the rim and get their shots. If the ball sticks and the defense collapses, we're gonna witness Oladipo with 36 points in a loss.
