This is interesting.
I mean I do not disagree, but both Collison's and Joseph's impact on winning might be underrated.
I'm interested in what teams are offering for either one of them. A first round pick? A young prospect with some decent potential? I could also see a lot of teams trying to get them for cheap, offering two second round picks

I cannot see anyone offering something that makes it worth it to us unless the idea is simply to get rid of one of them for whatever value to get Holiday more minutes.
Best case scenario is we're looking at a 2nd or a low level prospect. That's their value without some other moving pieces involved. Maybe we could get a better fit elsewhere. Not that I would do it, but someone like Tolliver in a 3 team deal? We could use a real stretch 4 and he's a high character vet.

Phoenix has said to be shopping for a point guard. Personally I'd trade Evans first which becomes possible in a few days.

Given the garbage offers they have thrown out for PGs that have been reported, I don't see a deal there really. Unless they put a first, Jackson, or Bridges on the table (no chance with any of those), they don't have anything worthwhile for us.
Scoot mentioned Ariza for Collison, which could be ok, but eh.

I'd certainly prefer keeping CoJo over DC for his defense. KCP is said to be available. maybe a 3 team deal would be better than a straight Suns deal although I'd sure like a high 2nd round pick.
I assume things are heating up as not just Evans but everyone signed last summer become tradeable on the 15th.

I'm not sure how much we could really use KCP. He's almost strictly a SG which should not be a need for us at all once Dipo comes back.
A combo forward is really the only position I could see us having a need at, but trading a PG kind of creates a potential hole there unless we're satisfied that Sumner could be the 3rd stringer. I suppose the idea could be to use Evans more there, but I think that's a horrible idea personally.

just threw that name out as an example of a third team player that could be available. I think our SG need depends upon whether you like Doug or Bojan there. I don't like Evans much of anywhere.

Trading DC would make Vorda quite happy!

Was it or was it Ariana? I don't know who Ariana is but if she's hot I'd have to think about it.
If it was Ariza I'd want their 2nd in 2019 the deal saves them money and gives them a pg to help now while Okobo or Melton get ready to start. They should be a top 5-6 pick anyhow and they have the Bucks pick so they may not really care about winning much in 2018-19.

She's a little short, but I think Ariana Grande would have been an upgrade to our 3rd string PG many past years.

I think Ariana Huffington is taller.

Are you saying she's better looking than Joe Young?

I didn't see a link of any sort in your post, so I have to ask. Where are you hearing/seeing/reading this?
EDIT: OK, now I see. It is a Brian Windhorst blurb.

Someone's gotta go, imo. Tyreke, DC, or Cory Joseph, everyone has their own least favorite, but the minutes need to be there for Aaron Holiday. With Vic now back in the lineup, Nate said he spoke to Holiday and he is once again out of the rotation.

Important to note that Windhorst reported that “rival GMs think that the Pacers will look to trade Collison or CoJo”. It’s a small, but important, wrinkle to the story.

Don’t hate. She’s got a wicked step back. Killer.

Sorry, was typing on my phone and whatnot. The point was that Brian Windhorst actually reported that Rival GM's said they thought the Pacers would look to deal one of the PG's. He did not report that the Pacers were looking to deal one of them.

well then I really doubt it. we may ask Collison to take backup money next summer and risk him walking though. I say Collison because CoJo is already on a lower contract plus he is a defensive stopper.

I really don't wanna make a move. I'm content on waiting for Tyreke to come around. He's shown small flashes, but he's capable and he doesn't lack confidence. His floor is good enough that his potential ceiling is worth the wait for his playoff potential.
And I don't want to move either Collison or CoJo, at least not this season. They've earned their roles, they've earned a spot on this team. And they're such a huge part of the pulse of this team, it'd be an injustice to toss them aside as though we operate like any other NBA team. We don't operate like other teams. There's a reason NBA players that don't play for the Pacers hear about and admire the culture we've built here. It's because we operate differently. And it'd be a slap in the face to either of those guys to not let them see this two year run we've put together through.
I love Aaron Holiday, he deserves minutes. His chasedown block the other night against Washington was BRILLIANT. And I'm all for giving him some of Tyreke's minutes, now or in the future. But if not, then he will wait a year. He might not like it, but I guarantee he'll respect it. Because that's the kind of locker room we have.
I don't want to make a move for the sake of making a move. I don't want Ariza. McDermott has earned his playing time.
Our team is beginning to run on all cylinders, and I don't wanna rock the boat, baby. And I doubt Pritch wants to either.
