No to Waiters or Tyler... our cap sheet is clean and we want it to stay that way.

Ellington maybe. But don't the Heat need to dump him to get under the tax?

Tyler is an expiring contract next year. So he will hold over VO spot until he returns at the end of next season or the season after. And the Pacer have to spend that money on somebody this summer regardless. I do not know who your targets are this summer. Is there a player you want to sign this summer?

And no the Heat do not need to, because the owner has not made it a need.

The Pacers are not paying that guy $19 million.

Past players that have had similar injuries lead us to believe that Victor will be back by the start of next season. Maybe training camp. We definitely don't need a guard to help out through then. Either way, we'd be better off with an expiring this year, and then enter free agency and acquire another wing in signing or via trade rather than being stuck with Tyler Johnson's huge salary. If you want to swap Johnson or Waiters for expirings, you're going to have to pay out that 1st of yours this year.
Ultimately, the two wings we'd have interest in are Josh Richardson and maybe Justise Winslow.

Sumner and Alize can earn spots next year. I think Alize already has and Sumner will get some minutes soon.

Boy, I really want to see us commit to playing Holiday, Sumner, Alize, and Leaf. We NEED to see what we have there. I'm less enthusiastic of Ike. I think he's just an old school center, about 10 years past when he would've been great in the league.

We dont need to do nothing right now... without Vic we will probably lose in 1st round... but we have chance to give Aaron and Sumner more minutes...

Yep, can't afford to wait any longer. If there was ever an excuse to play the young guys, this is it.

We HAVE to know what Holiday and Sumner can do before we can make decisions on Tyreke, DC, and Joseph this summer. It's not really a question.

I've been wanting to make a run up to Ft Wayne and watch these guys play. But now Sumner, Alize and maybe Ike are with the team here in Indianapolis, don't know about Ike.

Ike has been pretty mediocre in the G League so it's not looking good for him going forward. I doubt he has an NBA contract after this year honestly.

In addition, I want to see how Doug performs with starter minutes

His potential is there: he shoots with confidence, he's athletic at getting to the rim, and he moves relatively well without the ball

We just need to find out how good (or bad) he is

Prior to getting a starting job with the Pacers, Bogie was deemed a sieve on defense and a one dimensional shooter on offense; he's improved his worth significantly after given the chance to play as a starter

Who's to say Doug won't respond in the same way? For all we know, he might even end up being a better player than Bogie, being younger and more athletic

At the very least, consider this: he signed a 3 year contract, meaning he's sticking around - does it not make sense to find out what we have on our hands?

Whatever we do, after seeing he rumors floating around that Melo was seen having dinner in downtown Indy, I would have to say.....let's do anything but that.

Doug would get better looks with the starters since we have actual creators there, but he'd really hurt our defense. He's not a starter on a playoff team. What he is has been established, a bench shooter. Which is fine for what we pay him.

He's back in Indy although I have trouble figuring out why.

The Mad Ants are off until Friday in Ft Wayne. Last played Saturday. Just getting in some practice time?

and with the Warriors in town, there is a chance for extended garbage time tonight. 6 more fouls could also be useful.
