I don’t love it, to be honest. Hope Pritchard knows something we don’t.

Does this mean we have a deal for Domas or Myles? Otherwise how many centers do we need?

Awesome, our new starting center :D Sabonis and Turner mixed in a better version.

Is Goga going to revive the Pacer tradition of having someone with an European name start at center?

In 5 years, he really might be. Absolutely needs to work on his lateral movement like Myles did, though, because that is a huge weakness.

Did he come in for a workout? What's the story on him?

After the shock, I'm pretty happy. A two way player at #18. Guy can block shots and hit 3s. Sabonis and Myles rolled into 1. Can't see us keeping 3 centers.

Didn't know anything about him until this photo. Hope he uses it a motivation. Interesting pick.

Hopefully no. Goga plays both ways on the court, and his straight line mobility has gotten better. Definitely needs a lateral movement, but on his way towards being a Jokic-lite? As others have said, he's kind of a cross between both Myles and Dom.

Also, won the Rising Star Award in Euroleague as best young player.

Listening to Nate McMillan's conference and it seems like the folks on realgm know more about him then he does. He literally knows nothing about him. He said he just watched a quick video on him prior to coming to speak with the media. lol

From Jeremy Woo at Sports Illustrated:
Woo's Grade: A

Bitadze is the most NBA-ready big man in this draft, and while he doesn’t directly fill a need for the Pacers here, this pick is all about value. He could be an immediate contributor off the bench for them, combining skill, size and toughness in a package that profiles well at the NBA level. Concerns about his athleticism are a bit overblown. This is a shrewd choice by Indiana.
