We're playing extremely sloppy. Missed offensive opportunities and the defense, especially in transition, is extremely lackluster. Gotta step it up against the kinds of teams if we wanna move up in the East.

And now we are starting to pick it up, thanks to TJ Warren.

I love Warren. Dude can score.
Nearly had heart failure. I thought Sabonis was hurt bad. Goes to the locker room, then right back in the game, man what a relief.

and he is defending beyond all expectations and starting to rebound better too.

Everyone said he couldn't guard at all. He has become a plus defender. He's a decent passer too.
Most of all I just love how smooth he is taking the ball to the hoop. Still can't fathom what the hell the Suns were thinking.

Re: Game 37: Indiana Pacers (22-14) @ Charlotte Hornets (15-23) - 7:00 PM ET
I’m all in that I was probably overly conservative In my hopes for Warren. Dude is scoring efficiently and in the flow of offense. The 3 shot seems to be more In the improved category than the standard of the first 4 years of his career. And his defense has improved from the apathetic. But I’m certainly not going to call him a fine defender, or positive, or plus defender. He’s fit a team defense, and every once in awhile he’s active in a positive manner to deflect a pass here and there. But he’s still not a good defender. Too often he “looks good” by bodying you someone far from the basket, but then they drive right by him and he has to foul them or he puts someone else in a terrible spot and forces Dom or Myles to rack up a foul to cover for Warren’s mistakes. The effort is certainly there and the “pride”, but he’s all too often out of position defensively, causing trouble for the rest of the team, or working hard but not smart on defense.

Putting in defensive effort on the court and attempting to make improvements on that end are about as much as you can hope for in guy who was billed as a scorerer/bad defender.
There are definitely talented offensive players in the league that don't look like they do either.

Absolutely. I’m just saying that he’s made vast improvements that I wouldn’t consider him anything but an occasional negative there, but usually a consistently safe body on defense. I certainly wouldn’t even say that he’s in the Bojan territory yet of being a passably good defender, though. That’s kind of where I’m drawing the line.
