So, Vic is in tonight. Warren is OUT. McDermott is OUT. Brogdon is OUT. Sampson is IN.

Brian Bowen getting the start at SF tonight to keep the bench unit as together as possible. This is also Bowen's last day of service available as a two-way player until the G-League season ends.

Seems like they wasted Bowen's days. Wonder why he didn't play more in Fort Wayne.

Sent from my phone.

They had him practice a lot with the team with Vic out and then assorted injuries to Jakarr, Lamb, and especially Brogdon. I also don’t think they’re concerned or interested in promoting him this season so it wasn’t a worry. And, once GLeague season is over, he’s free to stay with The Pacers with no count (though he can’t play in the playoffs without being converted to an nba contract, which we’d have to waive someone to clear a roster spot for).

unless we can get a roster exemption for Lamb. if he will be out all next year, that might be worth applying for. actually, I don't suppose there is any harm in asking.

Hard to say. He’s truly have to be ruled out for the entire year, not just assumed so. The Wizards did not get a DPE (disabled player exception) to sign an extra player for one year for up to 50% of the players salary for John Wall this year due to belief that he could return at some point. As for an extra (16th) roster spot on the active NBA roster, that requires more than just one injury. It generally requires a hardship to be proved by the team.
“ In order to qualify for the NBA's hardship roster exception, at least four players must miss a minimum of three consecutive games, and later be deemed to be out for an additional two weeks.”

It’s also too late in the nba year to receive either a hardship exception or a DPE. They will not be handed out the rest of this season.
