we have a small chance to catch Boston, but I think we have zero chance if we lose tonight.

Refs definitely rooting for the Celtics tonight. Warren and McMillan both with techs over it.

Celtics getting some big timing type foul calls tonight (leading to a 10 point advantage at the free throw line at this point in the 4th), but a classic case of the Celtics shooting a ton of 3's, and shooting ok there, while we just aren't shooting volume, though we're shooting better overall tonight. We're shooting 37/75 right now, and Celtics are 37/81 right now. However, the Celtics are 12/31 from 3 and we're only 6/17 from long range.

Hayward having a classic old school game for him tonight. Tatum is looking like a true future superstar in terms of impact.

Vic is REALLY starting to look like his old self. Great lift on his shot, and explosive attacks to the rim. Down 14 going into the 4th, and now only down 3 with 3:30 to go.

And now tied up on a Warren 3. Were down 19 at one point.

not watching the game because the NBA TV broadcast partners desperately want the Celtics to have a deep playoff run and watching plainly crooked officiating to help Boston induces rage in me.

Vic took a quick 3 with less than two minutes remaining when the team was up by 3 points

I've seen quite a number comments online thrashing Vic for that, and Vic himself seemed a little upset about it after the game

To be clear, my immediate reaction when I saw that during the game was to cringe a little as well

But I don't think I would assign any fault to Vic for taking that shot, in general

Had it went in, it would have been a dagger, potentially putting the game away, and I absolutely love seeing a player stepping up to the plate like that, putting the team on his shoulders

Just that in this particular example it wasn't a good shot, it was a little forced

The leader/clutch mentality was right, but the shot selection wasn't good

we wouldn't have tied it had Vic not been shooting 3s but his last miss was a bad mistake. the good news is that he knows it.

Agreed with both of you Top and Wiz. To me, with this being a gap year originally, I’m most happy with the progress made in this game in terms of Vic finally starting to look like his old self and start to gain the confidence needed to even feel Like he should take that shot in the moment. Not great at the time, but love that the confidence and feel are coming back to him, as I think that’s the biggest thing this season.

I think it is becoming clear that in the East the Bucks are in a class of their own, then Boston, Miami, and Toronto are tier two, and we're in tier three with Philly. we have a small chance to move up if everyone gets 100% healthy, but when the season began, no one thought we'd be where we are.

Frustrating game, though it was nice ot see the fight to come back. Still it remains a big concern that we get into these holes consistently.
