I will not be staying up for this one. I’ll watch it tomorrow when my little guy naps.

Wow, the difference in the team's defense with and without Myles is like night and day

Five minutes into the game and Pacers have already allowed at least 2 or 3 easy baskets due to careless lapses on defense

On the bright side, Doug is absolutely torching the Clippers on offense

I've always been interested in trading Warren so that Doug could start, so it's really cool to see him play like this in his first start of the season

Pacers are fighting hard, but this doesn't look good, my friends

Doesn't help that a bum like Marcus Morris is randomly having his best game of his season

I went to bed when we were down 10. was I the jinx that caused them to fall apart in the 2nd half?

call them bums for their attitude, but someone with a Morris brother's skills would really help our 2nd unit.

The team looked like warmed over garbage last night. I was not happy with the limp effort. This is what we'd been watching if the team had gotten the deal done for Hayward.

I might stop watching these games like I did in the bubble and the playoffs the whole IN Bee Yea thing is starting to give me Tourette's Syndrome again.

The lack of depth really showed

I think the highest scoring Pacer off the bench was Goga with 5 points?

Meanwhile they had Morris and Kennard channeling their inner Steph Curry and shot like 9-15 from 3pt range combining for 40 points or something

Sumner showed promise though. He's still inexperienced, and has a lot of room to grow

The only bright spot was Doug. If Doug continues to play like that, Pacers may not be able to afford him in the off-season. So maybe it wasn't a bright spot after all

Losses like this, where 3/5ths of the starting unit was comprised of backups, mean very little in the grand scheme of things.

Conclusions really cannot be made until all the key components are healthy.

....at the end of a long road trip.

We absolutely have trouble with premiere wings, though. We can absolutely agree on that. But would it have been better with Levert/Warren on them, and Turner behind them? We hope.

Collective off day (with exceptions).

If they want to make Sabonis our starting center (which likely will happen if you already want to trade Turner for FA agent Hayward), defensive plus wings and guards are a must. As good as McDermott is offensively, this is what you get with players who fortify Domantas his weaknesses defensively.

Definitely. Lamb also.

I guess. I was more pointing out our players that have a history of giving some bigger wings trouble. Lamb hasn’t historically been in that category, so I’m not assuming he will until he does.

The size and athleticism LeVert and Warren possess should help to shore up our perimeter defense.

Apparently Edmund Sumner's ability to effectively guard elite pgs is actually a thing. That'll be another weapon in Bjorkgren's warchest.

I like the way Bjorkgren's defense has a visual flow of players seamlessly switching from man-2-man to zone. I can't describe the exact concepts but it seems the defense does not react but rather anticipates the action. I like what I see.

Caitlin Cooper recently tweeted this too. she said elite. you call them premiere.

my reply to you both is the reason they are regarded as premiere is that everyone has trouble with them. perhaps that's a little strong as some premiere wings do have the ability to guard other premiere wings but mostly its tautological.

Of course. I’m just hoping for players that can at least put up a fight with them or make them work a bit.
