Swatting all those shots away caught up with him. Hopefully, it's not a lingering issue and he's back soon.

I'm totally dumb about this sort of thing, so....is there a chance he could wear a "soft cast" or something like that to protect the hand while it heals? Would that allow him to continue to play? Or would that just be a bad idea?

Off hand maybe. Think it would be really difficult on the shooting hand.

I'd say no he's out 5-6 weeks depending on where the break is in the hand. I've had my right hand broken 2 times in fights when I was a Kick Boxer back in the 1980's. The 2nd one took 12 weeks to heal. The 2nd break is lead me to quit fighting. If it's a slight break he might be back in 3-4 weeks. Westbrook broke his hand a few years ago and missed about 2 months. Since Turner is a shot blocker he could be getting reinjured if he comes back too soon.

Looks like it's time to TANK!! We're not seeing LeHurt any time soon and now Turner is out. Face it boys we're done. What are they gonna do start Goga now?

"An avulsion fracture is an injury to the bone in a location where a tendon or ligament attaches to the bone. When an avulsion fracture occurs, the tendon or ligament pulls off a piece of the bone. Avulsion fractures can occur anywhere in the body, but they are more common in a few specific locations."

"This injury normally takes 6 weeks to heal."

I had what was called a Boxer fracture of my right hand it was the bone behind the pinky nuckle.

He's listed as questionable today so I don't see this being a long term deal.

A boxer fracture occurs when punching something really solid, like a locker perhaps or somebody with a big block head. Get 'em BBW2.

Hopefully Goga can take the next step during Turner's absence.
