Re: Woj: Bill Bayno Resigns Citing Mental Health
Bayno had been on personal leave for a couple weeks up until this report. By all reports, he's been a good guy here, well liked, and a preferred personal training partner of many of the players. Here's hoping the best for Bill Bayno.
I would imagine we'll see Calbert Cheaney take a bigger position on the bench...

Someone from the Philippines might want to bring him back.. His footprints is still well embedded on that franchise even he coached that team for only a year 20 years back

Do you think part (not all) of his "mental health" problem was from working for Nate II? A bit of a final straw?

I doubt we'll ever know unless he tells people. it's certainly possible. it's also possible it was an addiction problem from which he has recovered.

Hard to say. I don’t know that mental health struggles, as it was reported, could be simplified to one cause. But it was clearly reported as a highly stressful situation for him to work under Nate.

Mental health issues do not mean mental illness. Every single person on earth battles mental health issues at one point or another, or always to a certain degree. We call it stress, or anxiety, or sadness, or depression (though not clinical), or just not feeling right.
I don’t recall any reports of addiction issues.
Edit: But even if he has a diagnosed mental illness and/or addiction issue, he did a great job here, and that shouldn't affect his employment.

I’m casting my vote on the side of stress from COVID procedures and working with new Nate.

I believe both his parents passed away during the pandemic, too. At the time, it sounded like he had just about everything hit all at once. And reports shortly thereafter were that he just couldn’t deal with working with Nate, either. It probably all added up, eventually.
