Would require us to clear a 2 way spot by waiving either Stanley or Bowen.

If going this route, would likely have to be Kelan Martin, but I’m not sure either of the 2 way guys are worth bumping up to the main roster overall. Other options could be anyone expiring, which would be TJ (obviously not happening), Doug (not happening unless his injuries are season ending and we know he’s not returning), or Jakarr (which, we’d need him as the other center, but maybe his back injury is severe, or he burned a bridge with his getting ejected? Both hypothetical based on no fact based reporting).

Sort of related mostly due to Brissett and Jakarr's injuries I think he has seen his last season with the Pacers. I think Martin and Brissett both have better chances of sticking next season.

Kelan? I don’t disagree, and his guarantee date doesn’t trigger until after the draft and free agency opens. Could even see him possibly rework the deal a bit to get a very small guarantee and go through camp. We’ll see. He did have some hot runs lately, and is still relatively young (in the league, that is). But Brissett definitely fits more of what Bjorkgren wants to do.

Sorry Scoot I meant Jakarr not Kelan.

Ah, no worries. I wouldn’t write him off 100% so long as he’s willing to work hard in practice and he’s available for the minimum. A dime over the minimum, and I don’t think its worth bringing him back. And hell, who knows, clearly they like Brimah in some way, maybe he’s more likely than Sampson to return. I just don’t know. I’m a big fan of heady vets in the locker room at the end of the roster, but they also have to be healthy enough to be called upon reliably.

Exactly I like a low salary vet who's able to step in such as Rondo, Rose, Whiteside and others when injuries arise and can school the younger talent on the squad.

Brimah got a few minutes in Orlando and was totally lost. with Portland and the Nets coming up and our top three centers out, we can probably just accept a couple of losses.

Yeah Brimah looked raw and a bit clunky moving like Mo Bamba lol. He was getting a workout one sequence where it was back and forth for a minute or two as they were trading steals etc.

2nd year isn’t guaranteed though. He’ll have to earn it in camp.
