Play in #1: Tuesday
It's Charlotte at Indy. Lose and we're in the lottery. Win and we play Boston v Washington loser for 8th.

Re: Play in #1: Tuesday
I don't know whether this is bad or not, but I don't care too much whether they win or lose here
Winning both the play in games means the team goes to the playoffs as the 8th seed, so yay, but they're just going to face a possible sweep by the 76ers anyway, so I'm not sure that's something to look forward to
Otoh, losing the play in games means they go to the lottery, but thanks to them winning 3 in the last 5 games of the season, their odds for a top 4 pick is now a trivial 4.8%, again not something particularly exciting
Frankly neither outcome sounds particularly great, so I'm just looking forward to the draft at this point

I mean with everything this team has gone through this year it is a fitting way for it to end. Hope Caris is ok.

How can every player not be vaccinated?

Even if healthy, and if we win out, he’d be out for most, if not all, of round 1.

It’s his personal choice. I would imagine there’s no conflict with his treatment from the kidney cancer, but hypothetically, maybe?

There are also still questions about whether a vaccinated person can spread the virus. I haven't looked at the protocols though to see what difference if any there is for a vaccinated person

This really sucks for you guys. On paper your roster is one of my favorites. Unfortunately, it's only really existed on paper virtually the whole year. Better luck next year.
The hottest of takes...

I think that was resolved before the CDC said vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks.

I'm in this boat too. I wouldn't mind winning, but I'm not expecting it and a trip to the lottery might be good for once.

You are right about it being a personal choice. However, if there are no conflicts with whatever treatment for the cancer he may still be receiving, he is then making a personal choice that could jeopardize others. And I'm sorry, but that would be just plain stupid.

Everything I've read or heard says you are correct about this.

The only problem is if we get a good draft position, we then have to worry about KP trading it off for Thad Young or similar.

Personally, I’m all in on vaccines. Wife’s a doctor. Our kid is fully vaccinated. Give him extra, if you can, I say!
But, I’m just recognizing that it’s not required, and that in some communities, there is apprehension about a vaccine being “forced” upon people. I personally think it’s stupid. But I can also see that it also sounds too good to be true, and to some communities that have been tricked before, there may be apprehension.
