With only two officials, they are missing a lot of contact.

Before the game I would have been happy to be this close. As it played, we had that won. (Insert Dirty word)

I’m sorry the fourth quarter was disgusting and no feel good small victories from this game.
Warriors played sloppily all night, but do have the athletes and plays that when they execute their buckets look so easy keeping them close. I’ll give the Pacers credit for hustling defensively. However too many times the Pacers blew coverages.
What irks me the most tonight is the ineptitude to run offense down the stretch. Too many wild desperate 3 point shot plus 1 on 1 gotta make sumptin happen plays.
Too often the Pacers play with a deceylead then in closing time let the opponents hang around within 2-5 points and then they collapse.
I know the Pacers lack a closer star player but still the starters need to execute plays in the clutch. Either this is a coaching problem or the players just can’t execute plays given to them.
Too many losses this year that should have been victories. Disappointing.

So Pacers couldn't hold on to a lead. What else is new
I knew the game was lost as soon as I saw that they went to LeVert for the final play

Just don’t get it Lamb 1-7 ? Why so much playing time ?
Turner 1-10 and Duarte 1-6 were both off tonight. It happens. Kelan Martin still struggling 2-7 but give me him, Craig, or Wanamaker rather than Lamb.
MIA once again Torrey Craig.

Kelan shot rather poorly, but he still played pretty well. He is in the Oshae category to me, though a bit less so. Good things just are happening when they're on the court and hustling, even if they don't show up in the stat sheet. There's just an energy and attitude that we need off the bench with them.
Lamb shot poorly, but he actually was pretty ok overall tonight. His defense wasn't abysmal, and he was doing a good job of rotating and providing a bit of a hub creation. He was taking good looks, and they just weren't falling. Much like Turner and Duarte, in that regard tonight. But Wannamaker was just a waste of a couple minutes with not much of true production.
But yeah. I would've preferred we just kind of ignore positions a bit and just play the winning type players. I'd like to see Craig a bit, even if Oshae is out there. I don't care if one is nominally the SF, or even if one is nominally the SG. It's probably worth it to play Lamb/Craig/Oshae than to play Wannamaker anything more than a couple minutes.

Myles, despite his horrible outing offensively, was a +4 for this game. He was contributing defensively
Domas was great obviously
Brissett played with energy. Martin was ok. Lamb was decent too, the one bucket he got should be worth 5 points or something
Duarte had an off game
Brogdon was meh, but LeVert was polarising. He made a few nice plays, but also chucked a few bricks. That last play where he tried to be the hero was smh worthy

I thought Brogdon had a really good to GREAT game. He was primary defender on Steph most all night, doing a great job of keeping him off his spots. He also did a good job of getting inside and creating offense from his drives, especially when we otherwise were collapsing in the first half.

I thought Brogdon’s game was mostly good as his physical defense was causing them problems repeatedly. Also he was driving with physicality. His outside shot might have been his only issue last night but others outside shots weren’t falling.
I thought LeVert had ok stats but he flashed some and stumbled other times. He didn’t look to be always in the flow and too much 1 on 1.
As Scoot said above I definitely like seeing Brissett making things happen through his activity and Kelan also has some of that at times.
Duarte looked bothered by his match up last night both ways. Thus his shots were short or off and he didn’t create as much havoc on defense as he can. Brissett was so integral in being in the right place last night intercepted a few passes.

Monthieth is jumping on the disgruntled bandwagon now. I think he gives a bit too much credit to "Carlisle's coaching history" though.

Also, Carlisle clearly didn’t draw up the final play last night

But yeah, we played well all night with motion and offense, and then we just often go with “clear out and have a guard try and break it down for a bucket”? How about Sabonis touch the ball with eyes on a pass, but a shot attempt if one presents itself? Or Brogdon drives on a play with Sabonis crashing for a pass around the rim?
Otherwise, Montieth has often written as if the nba is still played as it was 20+ years ago.

My memory of watching the game was him constantly getting beat by his man
Steph is going through a mini slump
He shot 8-19 against the Knicks. 6-20 against the Sixers before playing the Pacers. 8-19 against the Blazers before that
Him going 8-20 against us is exactly conforming to the trend
In fact, it would have been a slap in our guards' face if Curry were to have a good game against us amidst him having a bad stretch of games against others
I find it odd that Brogdon was patting himself on his back and taking credit for slowing down Steph, when Step didn't play any particularly worse against us. Steph is simply in the midst of a mini slump, probably due to fatigue. I mean, not that I'm upset about it or anything, we take whatever mini wins we can get. But no I do not think that Brogdon had a particularly good or great game, to me he had a regular Brogdon kind of game

Or, and hear me out, teams know that Curry is going for a record, and they’re absolutely doing their best to match up on him? Like, is Curry a good player who makes most of his shots and getting defended well lately, or is he just a fine player who forgot how to shoot old in the midst of a record chase for shooting?
Either way, watching the game, Brogdon did a really good job defending him. There’s no way around it. He controlled his dribble, he pushed him to his weaker sides, and he bodied him with strength.
If that’s just a regular Brogdon game, he’s a damned good player then, and we’re underestimating him. He played really well. If that’s just regular for him, we’re lucky to have him.

Or, the other way to look at it is, if Brogdon played great defense on Curry, and yet made no impact on Curry's performance, evident by Curry's performance against 3 other teams in the same stretch, then does that mean Brogdon's defense is unimpactful even when he turned in a good defensive game by his standards?
I mean, he clearly wasn't terrible, or else Curry would have had a good game at our expense
But he didn't do anything too special either. Hence the "meh" evaluation

So, you’re asserting that Curry is an inefficient shooter? He’s just missing because he can’t make them?
Is it possible that EVERY TEAM is guarding him tough right now?
