I'm with you on Sochan. I think Duren is too much like IJax t take that high. Griffin is also on my list.

I want to see what Mathurin measures at the combo. I doubt he's 6'7", his program height, but I'd like him a lot more if he is and can play 3 and not just 2.

Interesting cornrows podcast on Griffin. They did their pluses and minuses which had me not liking him and then said he was the best choice for us if we're not in the top 4.

I didn’t listen just because I saw Caitlin’s post and I formed a quick opinion he wasn’t the best option.

Games I’ve watched and scouting reports I’ve read, I just don’t see it with Griffin. I didn’t see it with Myles Turner either but, the guy we got was very different from the college player. At that age a lot can happen. Maybe with more time since his injuries he rediscovers the athlete scouts say he was a couple years back? Even then, still have to deal with the lack of awareness on defense.

Did you listen to their Keegan Murray podcast? Basically, he won’t be bad, but they’d like him better if he were the Pacers pick around 8-9 or a trade down to the 10-12 range. Mostly that he’d be good, but low chance of being a star or near star? But really high floor, if I recall.

Their guest expert came down to a timeline consideration. He attributed Griffin's weaknesses to missed years and felt his ceiling was high if we were willing to emphasize player development over winning for a few years. Caitlyn worries the choice is risky. I'm still hoping we get a shot at one of the big 3 but I see Griffin as a SF which is a big plus at 4-9.

I've listened to all of them. One had the guy from BoxAndOne as the expert and I've started listening to his free stuff too. I hope if we slide they'll do Sochan because I'm starting to think he is a top 9 talent.

Minnott at 31 might be optimistic.

listening now to latest Fieldhouse Files with Agness and Cooper. in discussing Cav's trade, Scott says we asked for less protection on the 1st and the compromise was giving us the 31. that makes sense. if we had a choice between lighter protection and a top 2nd round pick, I fully understand the decision to take the 31 and agree to only lottery protection on the FRP.

I like Sochan as a defender and watching box in 1 video love Banchero as an offensive threat. Would be cool to work out moves to get both.

Chad Buchanan will be in the “drawing room” to verify the lottery. Kelly Krauskpof will be on the stage as the public face.

Well we dropped one spot to 6. Could've been worse.

ESPN has Murray in the top 4. If it goes that way we could be looking at Ivey or Sharpe. That puts a lot of pressure on to replace Brogdon or Hield.

31 could produce a raw big or be used in a trade to move up.

Do we agree top 6 are Chet, Paolo, Jabari, Sharpe, Ivey, and Murray or maybe Griffin? I don't see a disaster there.
