Post all star rest of the season predictions

I’m predicting 8 wins and 14 losses in our remaining 22 games good for the 5th pick in the draft. I think they’ll be competitive, but lose close games to finish this weird season. Overall I feel so positive for the future because of the deadline moves.

Predicting Scoot was right that Mad Ants Justin Anderson will be signed to a 2 way.

Predicting Terry Taylor signed to the roster.

Predicting Turner comes back from injury and fits in well.

Predicting Warren comes back for limited minutes off the bench.

Predicting McConnell doesn’t come back from injury.

Predicting Brogdon doesn’t come back, or doesn’t fit in, or most likely gets injured again.

Predicting Jackson and Taylor continue to impress when given minutes.

this is your only prediction I disagree with. If Brogdon wants to stay, he'll find a way to fit in. If he wants out, he'd be smart to showcase himself.

This is the one that surprised me. Maybe I just didn't understand the severity of his injury?

I predicted that Justin would get an active roster spot, as he’s ineligible for a 2 way  the downside is this would keep both Terry and Duane on 2 ways.

However, other bold prediction? Keifer Sykes is waived before the end of the season to promote one of Terry or Duane.

If a 2 way is opened up, Nate Hinton is signed to backfill it.

7-15 in remaining 22?

Warren comes back to play roughly 5-10 games, a la Paul George returning from his leg injury.

Myles and Brogdon return shortly after the ASB, but Brogdon is eventually shut down for the rest of the season due to injury.

We see a ton of weird and wacky combinations of playing time just to see what we have.

Agness stated it as his assumption, but it’s mostly that it’s his right wrist that’s been immobilized for awhile, so he hasn’t been able to dribble or shoot. And mostly just that there’s no reason for him to return? But I’d assert it’d be worth seeing how he fits and platoons with Hali the rest of the way.

HA! The safest two predictions of the year.

I'm not saying he'll get newly injured, or that they'll NEED to shut him down, but mostly that we'll just want to see how he can coexist with Hali for a bit, and then we'll have him continue his treatment/rest on his achilles to get ready for the offseason (or trade season  ).

Thanks for participating guys. I knew I’d be wrong on a few

Now seeing reports that Brogdon’s coming back Friday and conveniently it looks like Duarte is out so they can pair Brogdon with Tyrese and keep Buddy starting.

Glad Isiah Jackson is good to go.

I'll predict 10-12

They'll end up picking in the 8-10 range (they'll drop down to #6 or 7 in the lotto standings, and then get leap frogged by a few teams in the lottery itself)

Between Haliburton and Brogdon and Hield, that's at least one too many guard who wants the ball in their hands. I predict one of them gets dealt during the draft. Maybe packaged with their pick (which is around #8-10) or the Cavs/Rockets pick to move up

Myles Turner signs an extension with the team

Scott Agness quotes Carlisle as viewing the Brogdon Hali backcourt very positively. I predict he's smart enough not to label either one as the point guard which could offend the other one. Buddy came off the bench with the Kings and I think he'll be fine playing with Lance until McConnell is available (his cast is off but he's just starting rehab).

Well I was even more optimistic than the Pacers proved going 5-16 since all star break and a loss tomorrow would make 5-17

I said 8-14 I underestimated the tank power

I did pretty good! Missed on Myles and Warren and underestimated the tank by a couple games. But I mostly nailed the roster guesses.

Pacers executed the tank more aggressively/better than any of would have predicted.

Carlisle in his I'm a coach speech quietly said things changed mid season. That's as close to admitting a tank as I think we'll hear.
