Should be a great game because OKC plays hard. Josh Giddey, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Dort, and a bunch of young talent will be a good challenge and not overwhelming like a top contending team.

I don't think we can finish below OKC so let's win.

Small sample size, but I think Brogdon stays in Indy.

Does anyone know why Isaiah Jackson played only 22 minutes despite putting up excellent numbers and being +12 for the game? I'm only box score watching.

They didn't say but he was coming off a sprained ankle and could've been on a pitch count. Brogdon definitely was.

Carlisle being Carlisle?

No reason stated in the broadcast or anything. He basically split the minutes at the 5 with Jalen Smith.

Okay. I was worried he had aggravated the ankle.

No although at one point when he was out a trainer massaged his ankle.

Welcome to the somewhat confusing and maddening world of Rick Carlisle rotations.

Not the first game I recall this season where an effective and efficient player gets taken out while hot, or in this case left on the bench.

I think what happened tonight is Carlisle used Smith as the back up center and really should have played Jackson much more and gave Smith some of Brissett’s minutes.

Brissett was used too much in this game and his effectiveness suffered with him trying to be a star. Shooting was badddd

Game recap Pacers blew this opportunity to win for the following reasons.

59% FT shooting by the team

Defense very bad

Bad rotations by coaches
Example is Putting Brissett in situations to shoot too much

4 more turnovers than them as our guards were sloppy tonight
Haliburton 4
Hield 3
Stephenson 3
Washington 2
No other player had more than 1

OKC players wanted it more

Tank plan was on point

As for Malcolm Brogdon’s performance tonight I thought he played well. A little rust on the shot is to be expected. Zero turnovers is impressive when the other guards struggled with distributing/handling/ball security.

Of course we’re hopefully gonna have time to see if Brogdon’s presence detracts from Haliburton’s effectiveness. Didn’t slow Buddy down tonight.

Also have time to see how Duarte is affected and how Carlisle will split minutes for the 5 guards which includes Lance.

Washington and Sykes are now transitioning back to late game and blow out minutes.
