Good to see the Pacers hang in with Celtics after 1 it’s 30-27 Celtics.

I want the win. Celtics losses are always good. But a loss could help the chance to drop to 4th in the draft.

Still up. Celtics controlled the 3rd quarter pace with defense and fragmented play causing the Pacers to struggle to get into a flowing smooth offense.

I just don’t get Carlisle. Celtics put in bench 20 points behind at the time out. Carlisle keeps starters in. I’m putting end of bench in at that point. :noway:

When we win the 3 point shooting game, we're tough to beat.

Great win over a definite play off team. Pacers hit a lot of timely big shots keeping the Celtics playing from behind most of the game.

Sykes and Washington came in. Was there anyone else . . . Maybe Taylor but he's been playing.

Taylor, Sykes, Washington, Jackson, and Goga is who I would love immediately put out there pulling Buddy and others.

It’s not a big deal but give the end of the bench run as much as possible to keep them involved and not risk injuries to starters in latter not as important minutes is my preference.

Really good game for Buddy, Malcolm, Tyrese, Oshae, and Jalen off the bench. Insert Myles into that foursome with Isiah on second unit and this team is starting to look competitive.

Chris still battling rust and Isiah had productive minutes in their growth.

I’m thinking so far Malcolm is buying in and that’s going to make it a very hard decision next season to deal him.

I think Myles is staying put as his defense is missed by all the lane points on second shot attempts our opponents are getting without us having a veteran center currently.

Jackson had 20 minutes and Goga 16.

I'd say it another way. It's going to be an easy decision to keep him.

it's crazy to watch this team now post trade deadline and how different they are with Haliburton and Hield. Atleast on the eyes. I know they are 2-4 since the trade, but the way they are running the fast break is just absolutely insane. Saw JJ talk after the game with Haliburton and he mentioned Pacers rank #1 in fast breaks since the trade?

Gotta fill out that bench and improve the defense and this team can really make a Bulls-esque jump next season.

Haliburton's comments on Brogdon after the game were telling too. He said Brogdon has been a big time help in his ear, like a big bro, and he appreciates it because he's a vet. Brogdon apparently told him to shoot more.

I'd argue that next year's bench has been playing big minutes this year. bring back Turner, Warren, and McConnell and the second unit becomes McConnell, Hield, Duarte, Jackson, and a rookie. that assumes Brissett starts at the 4 and that our lottery pick is a big who comes off the bench at least to begin the year. it's also possible Duarte starts at the 3 and Warren is the 4.

without getting lost in the weeds, my point is I don't see the bench as the problem. now defense is a problem unless Turner fixes everything which seems unlikely.
