Healthy starting five
Let's say, a time comes this season where all of our key players (not counting Rubio) become healthy and available. I'm not even sure if that's possible, i havn't heard much about TJ Warren lately. But let's assume our guys are all healthy.
Haliburton, Brodgon, Hield, Daurte, Jackson, Brissett, Warren, Turner - i don't think anyone else wouldn't even be considered.
What would be the strongest possible starting 5 from these guys?

Re: Healthy starting five
I care little about this season, but it's interesting to look forward to next season when they should be healthy.
Haliburton/Duarte/Brogdon/Warren/Turner
I know Warren en Turner make a poor rebounding couple, but overall Warren is too good not to start. Brogdon and his languid offense make me move him to SF, where he can guard forwards very good actually.
I prefer another try season (and possible high pick) for our veterans, TJ x 2, Myles, Malcolm over trading them and hoping you draft players as good as. If Warren can't stay healthy or reproduce, Turner doesn't improve (his mentality) or McConnell's lack of shooting hurts the team, you can trade them, have another pass season and get the top talent you need to win playoffs games.

add McConnell and the top draft pick and you have a 10 man rotation. the best rotation doesn't always have the five best players starting although the best five are usually the finishers.

You couldn't go wrong with Jabari, Branchero, or Holmgren with the other 4.8305 wrote:I like

Probably no Turbonis creating a need for him to play.Tom White wrote:Wizop wrote:I'm done with Goga.

I’m just not sold on a Branchero.
If we had pick 3, I’d be looking at Ivey, Davis or Griffin.

Griffin maybe although some would say that's taking an injury prone player. I want a 3 or a 4 and Paolo and Holmgren fit that bill. Ivey and Davis are 2's. I know BPA but position counts when the players are in the same tier.

I didn't watch much of the first Wisconsin/Purdue game. I'll be watching tonight's game with a lot more purpose.

This season is lost anyway, so there's no hurry to field the strongest starting 5 possible. It's probably better that they spend the rest of the season developing the young guys and making decisions on who to bring back
If we're talking about next season, and if health wasn't an issue at all, then I like:
Haliburton, Brogdon, Warren, Jackson, Turner
Or a slightly out of the box and less realistic pick:
Haliburton, Duarte, Brissett, Smith, Jackson

I like that 5 as the starters

make this McConnell, Duarte, Hield, Brissett, and rookie and you have a second unit.
I left Smith out because I doubt we can keep him.

Re: Healthy starting five
I agree with Topofthekey that coaches and FO are now evaluating the roster these final games to see who’s worthy of their future plans and for direction on roster upgrades.
