Sad about not seeing Domas. Hopefully he is getting some time with the new kid.

The injuries this team suffers are absolutely crazy. It’s like 2-3 years running now and I’ve never seen anything like it in my life.

A loss tonight would help draft position. Being conservative makes sense.

Goga these last few games playing well considering his many games not playing. I know he’s playing out of injury necessity but I wonder if he’s auditioning for next year’s team or trade value.

Would be funny if it wasn’t for coming out of concussion protocol.

True tank-tastic finish tonight.

Victory!
#5 is the best possible draft position
Big odds to land at #1 - #4 and falling in the draft is less dramatic than getting pushed out the top 4.

Funny definition of best. Maybe the least likely to disappoint.

Yup. We still play Detroit but Kings play Houston x2 and Orlando. Hope Fox returns soon and they don't shut Sabonis down for the season.

But they're pretty much guaranteed to drop a few spots if they finish at #5. In a way #5 is the spot that's most likely to disappoint I think

Top 4 is were all the teams want to draft. If we don't get lucky there, I don't care much if we drop to 6-9.
The difference in odds for top 4 between 5 and 1-4 are very small. As constructed, 5 is were you want to be. If this team would have been worse that it has been, the path to victory would be even harder to take and our players would be even worse.
We only have to be as terrible as needed to get good odds. 6 is where the good odds start, so we have room to win some games

I don't see it that way. the higher you can be the better. I do agree that 5 or 6 puts you in a position where you are unlikely to drop more than 2 spots and the talent gap between 5 and 8 isn't huge. but the gap between 4 and 5 could be bigger.

Buddy screwing the Kings over 1 last time for good measure! Good game Pacers fans. With a top 4 pick next year this team will be fun to watch. But will need to trade Buddy to let Haliburton and younger guys take over. These off the foot turnovers, dribbling the ball up the court instead of passing to the pg and 3-12 for 3pt shooting nights are a staple of his career.
