Even though the Pacers won the first game I wasn’t alarmed at the performance. However, I thought their opponent was weaker. Today should be tough with no Duarte.

Very obvious that the Pacers subs are better than Kings subs as we take the lead for the first time.

First half Kings won the turnover battle and very little defensive pressure from the Pacers. Queta dominated Jackson which is alarming. Kings getting too many open 3 pointers from Ferrari.

Interesting that when they asked Haliburton who'd impressed him on their summer league team he said Nembhard not Maturin.

Pacers lose to the Kings. I have to say I don’t understand people on Twitter thinking the Pacers were going to win the Summer league. A lot of teams have equal talent.

I’d like to think Duarte would have made a difference but I think it’s more important seeing the players execute and work on their given tasks from their coaches. Winning is secondary.

Player assessment from today’s game

Washington Jr. non impressive.

Mathurin first half good but second half a bit forced which didn’t work as well.

Taylor is again a steady contributor.

Jackson played better when Queta was out but he’s having issues with physical bigs.

Nembhard playing under control showing scoring and rebounding today, but 5 turnovers and only 3 assists. Still learning.

K Brown showed great energy all around decent game 8/4 rebounds/4 asst/2 steals.

York, Hinton, Shittu, and DiLeo all played well contributing positive things and are most likely future Mad Ants.

Zeng and Boatwright no run today.

Yet to see Samuels, Brooks, and T Brown get minutes.

Overall Pacers have a lot to work on. So far I’m most impressed with our rookies
Mathurin
Nembhard
K Brown

Plus Duarte looked stronger yesterday.

I don't think anyone did really well. As in, stand out from the crowd sort of well. Hinton may want to save some time and book his trip home now.

On the other side of the coin, Murray did well. I said it before the draft and will say it again. He is a really good, solid player.

I didn't get to watch todays game, was out golfing in the am and then at the lake rest of the day. Seems like i missed a pretty good game. I know he's raw, but i expected Isiah Jackson to be at a different level this summer league. Looking at the box score it doesn't seem like he had the greatest of games. Also what a dud performance from Washington Jr. I don't want to sound like that guy essp coming off a poor shooting performance in summer league (3-8 FG, 0-2 3PT) but i'm far from being convinced he's a nba player. His defense is non existent and he tends to take some ugly shots.

Maybe Mathurin could relax his trash talking game a bit until he actually makes a name for himself. 6-16 shooting, 1-4 from 3PT and even 2-5 from the free throw line. Very unimpressive imo.

Nice recap for those of us who didn't get a chance to watch.
