Exciting, just ask Ayton

.
Haliburton finding Myles.
More focus on defense and better material to play defense.
What do you got?
Bummer Vogel got fat(ter).

Based on tonight’s preseason game against Charlotte, the rotation is more of:
Hali/McConnell/Nembhard
Buddy/Mathurin
Duarte/Nesmith/Brown
Smith/Taylor/Brissett
Turner/Jackson/Johnson
In the 4th, Goga, Galloway, and Sirvydis have yet to play, and Theis didn’t dress, though he’s on the bench with the team.

One thing from tonight's game, the Pacers destroyed the Hornets. Maybe they aren't so bad after all.

Hot take: trade our pick now while it's still perceived to have top-5 value

I've thought all along this team should be better than people expect. Either way, they will definitely be more exciting than past years.

I appreciate the exuberance, but we were at full strength and Charlotte was missing two starters in Hayward and Martin (and if Martin isn’t a starter, he’s the 6th man)

Well, no need to wait for the regular season to get the injury parade underway.

That sucks. For us and him. Seems like it's a big season for him, everybody has written this kid off. That's a tough way to start now.

So I’ve been MIA. My son called me tonight after him being at the home game against Knicks. I didn’t even know preseason games had started.
So I checked the 3 box scores and see that Theis has not played yet although he played for his country in a tournament weeks prior. Anyone know if it’s rest, trade request, injury, coaching decision?
Reason I’ve been checked out is because of the hurricane. We evacuated safely and our home sustained little damage that is repairable.
My son said they made changes inside stadium adding bar space and other seating changes around the arena on all levels. Unfortunately their long time season ticket balcony seats were affected 1 of 2 seats is now vision blocked.
They weren’t told so it was a shock to find a railing blocking their vision of the Pacers bench and goal in front of it. He’ll be calling his ticket agent tomorrow. They sat in other seats tonight because the arena was pretty empty.
I would have been &@@$’#%*$!? if it was my seat and started the conversation tonight with the arena management. Hopefully they get at least moved to a comparable seating area or upgraded. I saw a picture he took of the view and quite frankly it is poor judgment to not check for seating affected by these changes and reach out to ticket holders.

It’s being called “rest”, but his German teammates are all already playing and players that played as much as he did in Eurocup are playing, so it’s more likely it’s Indy saying “you’re not part of our core or our future, and we’d rather play Jalen, Isaiah, Goga, Turner, Taylor, and Oshae instead of you, so why not just practice to stay fresh and then not dress un games?”

Glad to hear y’all came out ok!

Ty Scoot. We were lucky it hit land before it made it to us. Not so good though for Ft Myers, Venice, Cape Coral, Northport, and Sanibel Island.
The Agnes article addresses that Thies was told to rest. He didn’t elaborate otherwise. I understand that he can be a quick spark off the bench, but not sure that he can maintain any type of continuously good play to warrant a lot of minutes. I guess we’re all in on the youth movement.

Galloway and Sivydis waived. Some new signings but I'm sure they will be waived tomorrow and become Ants.

I remember being impressed with Samuels in a tournament game I watched last spring. If he really is 6’7” he at least has forward size. He will be an interesting guy to watch on the Mad Ants.

Yup. He truly has combo forward size, so there’s definitely a role for guys like that in the league right now.

Rosters set. James Johnson makes it for now, on a non guaranteed deal. Non guaranteed until league cutdown date in January.

Not a fan of Johnson making it. It's not a big deal as we can just waive him whenever but he doesn't strike me as a good vet and he's not playable. I feel like there should've been better options out there.

Probably one of the best vets out there at positions of need (SF/PF) that would take a fully non guaranteed deal with the Pacers. Add in that Carlisle trusts him and sees him as that vet locker room guy, and you can see the connection.
Either way, he’s likely waived as soon as we make a trade, or if Kendall Brown or Trevelin Queen prove themselves ready for a promotion. Likely waived before his guarantee date if that comes first.
