Sorry, wasn't able to make a real GDT. Was busy last night then had work meetings go late today. Use this space for tonight.

Not looking for a win tonight. A W would require an early reassessment of goals.

70 point half.
Mathurin 23pts in 13min, 8/10 shooting, 5/6 from 3P.
Haliburton with a last second 3 and 13pts, 6ast
Jackson 13pts, 6reb, 1blk in 10 minutes off the bench
Nembhard 3pts, 4reb, 3ast

Tough ending. The Pacers immaturity came out against a super great Denver team. Poor shot selection, some ugly turnovers trying to force plays and passes and also some bad fouls, and one bizarre T on Carlisle. Mathurin also got a T which he should hold his emotions together. But thats youth.
Proud of the effort, they played great, and came close. Turner had a great look to sending it to overtime but just missed.

Love to see this. Nesmith was good on defense but 0-5 shooting and 0-3 from 3P. Cool to see though. These guys get it.

Re: GDT: Nuggets (7-3) @ Indiana (5-5) [7:00pm]
I watched entire game and am pleasantly surprised by the Pacers performance tonight.
Pacers inexperience came out in 4th quarter. Forced shots, turnovers, and missed open shots. Couple this with Nuggets scrappy veteran experience taking over and referee calls not favorable led to a blown opportunity.
Pacers will grow from this because they were successful most of the game hanging in. Didn’t expect them to win but they should have.
Several Pacers played well but a reoccurring theme is players who haven’t played recently struggle to contribute and opponents benefit from their rusty play.

Young talented teams lose like this pretty regularly. Really like the young guys, Hali, Ben, Nembhard, Jackson. They look like core pieces. Myles and Buddy are making statements that support their value to the Pacers and anyone on else that need help.
Seems like this group deserves the opportunity to see how good they can be before deciding the fates of Myles and Buddy?

That win would have been really neat if they had pulled it out.

someone needs to go over the tape with Mathurin. he needs to learn that when he has a big first half, he needs to be alert for the opponent making defensive adjustments at halftime. what worked in the first half may not be what will work in the second half.
hmmm, I'm going to suggest an article to C2C

As a Nuggets fan I watch Pacers only twice a year but damn, you have really promising team! I believe your team is very well coached, has no big egoes, just bunch of guys really easy to chear for. I was never like real Pacers fan but always loved your jerseys and I like small-market teams more. So, just wanting to say- have fun, your future seems bright.

Thanks. I think all of us are excited about the team's future, and you're right about the current roster being a group who are easy to root for.
