So I Jax will continue getting minutes by backing up Turner tonight. Seems like I remember earlier this season that the Pacers played small against the Bulls with 4 guards.

I approve of this move. Nembhard has been struggling a bit and hopefully less minutes will help him get right.
Only drawback is if he’s primary ball handler on second unit he might need some help.

They could stagger minutes keeping Ty or TJ in, or they could play Hill.

I give up. Still in the first quarter and watching isn't fun.

Nwora looks lost on defense tonight and doesn’t know how he’s expected to move on offense yet.
Positive is Duarte playing well.

As usual, Pacers making a comeback. Huge three by Tyrese cuts it to 9.
But this seems like the typical last-home game before all star break type feel. Where the home team has their bags packed at the front door and players ready for their 6am flights to a warm climate.

Down 58-42 at half. Bulls shooting 54% and Pacers 33%. Pacers 4 worse in turnovers. Rest of stats a wash.
So if they shoot better plus take care of the ball, and play defense they could win.
Agree the first half felt very out of sync all star break effort.

Wow.... talk about ice cold old takes exposed.
Nesmith, Hield, Tyrese and Mathurin so fun to watch in the second half just continuing to cut into the Bulls lead and never giving up. Props to them. Well deserved win.

I almost jinxed them. Tuned back in with 5 to go and the game tied and Bulls promptly hit two threes so I changed channels. I came back for final minute.
I also peeked at IU and NW went on a run.

Buddy Hield has passed Reggie Miller for the most three-pointers made in a single season in franchise history with 230.
Still 22 games left...

Defense and not giving up earned them a victory.
Stars of the game Duarte kept them in it, second unit rallied, Hield and Nesmith on fire from 3.
Mathurin, Turner, and Haliburton were steady contributors.

Duarte was clutch tonight, essp in first half when Pacers were getting blown out of the barn he was keeping them in the best he could. I think he only scored 3 points in the second half.
