Disappointing Rick is bent on starting Nembhard and giving up size at the 4. I want Smith or Theis in starting lineup. Jackson backing up Turner.

Celtics 20 rebounds 6 offensive 4 blocks

Pacers 10 rebounds 2 offensive 2 blocks

5 minutes left in 2nd quarter.

Why Carlisle is not concerned Idk. :banghead:

Horford 6’9”
Williams 6’9”
Tatum 6’8”

Turner 6’ 11”

Down 10 but shooting percentage is even between teams.

Updated at halftime

Celtics 28 rebounds 11 offensive 4 blocks

Pacers 13 rebounds 2 offensive 2 blocks

Disappointing that if I can see this issue prior to the game why an NBA coaching staff is so determined to play small ball and give the Celtics this advantage.

Tank ? I mean they know more about basketball than I ever could.

It's Boston so winning unlikely but we can't keep giving >65 point halves. I don't know why we play small against big lineups when we have so many bigs.

If we play like that every game, we can make the playoffs.

Turner balled out and Hield, Mathurin, and Haliburton were very good.

Of all the people who played tonight only Nembhard seemed to struggle a bit. Maybe because it was the best team in entire league.

Effort was strong and they could make the playoffs with solid games like this.

I’m just skeptical that the management doesn’t want to this year so they can better the draft and stick to their rebuild plan.

Even though we currently have the 6th worst record in the league I’m looking forward to the next game. I’d like to think Pacers bring the same effort against the Magic and get a road win. Was a shame Ben had foul issues. Really liked the way he competed against the likes of Tatum, Brown and Brogdan.

Hollinger in theAThetic
I will also remind you, once again, that tanking is almost entirely a management-driven tactic; once the ball goes up, these players and coaches want to win.

The Celtics are the best record in the NBA there were some crap calls in a close game one or 2 bad calls can swing it. Funny we never get the calls.

Clearly the Players and the Coaching staff are not tanking, but the result may be the same 5th-7th pick looks likely.

They gave us a much more entertaining team to watch. Last years team this time of year was a train wreck. We have something to look forward to if they draft well and make some quality moves in the offseason the Pacers might just be better next season.

I will be pretty disappointed if we aren’t better next year.
