Congrats guys, if we had to lose our unbeaten streak I am glad it was to your mostly young and very talented street fighters led by Spicy P.

Best of luck for the rest of the seaspn

Crazy that the Pacers lose a 20 point lead and have to go to OT. So lucky to win this one.

Looks like reports of the Pacers' demise may be greatly exaggerated.

I didn't get to watch the game, but looking at the box score and watching the highlights, it looks like we finally got our offense cooking the way it's supposed to. 7 players in double figures. Maybe Carlisle's comments about Mathurin worked - the guy put up 30 points and 11 rebounds! THIS is the Mathurin we were hoping for right here - ultra aggressive.

What happened to Nembhard? I see he only played 5 minutes, I guess he got injured? What was it?

Nembhard had a sore knee and the coaches pulled him after 5 minutes because he wasn’t moving around in the offense easily.

The first four Pacer games looked nothing like last night. Hopefully something clicked for them.

The pace with IJax as the lone center and Toppin/Siakam playing some small ball center looked pretty good. Turner is going to be one of the bigger storylines to monitor this season. He is not the same athlete he was a couple of years ago and is going to get probably $30m/year in free agency.

It will be interesting to see if Turner and Nembhard play tomorrow at the Pelicans. The Pelicans are banged up also with Dejounte Murray and Trey Murphy out plus McCollum questionable after missing their last game.

The Pelicans still have sharp shooter Brandon Ingram and the physical Zion Williamson. Jordan Hawkins is taking some of the scoring load with McCollum out.

I think the Pacers can win this road matchup of banged up squads.

They looked good at times and then with 2:30 to play in the 4th had a 12 point lead just evaporate!! A good team knows how to hold a lead for 2 minutes!! They got lucky to win this game against the Celtics who are a very good team.

Agree with this. Thank god for siakam who just knows how to score. Mathurin too. We need more from Haliburton here (he hits some big clutch shots but he has a tendency to over dribble and jump into the air and have to do a hurried pass under pressure in big moments too).

The C’s are a great team and will be hard to beat this year. They’re going to have the belief of making leads evaporate quickly - particularly against us - hopefully we can aspire to be like them in time.

Was thinking about Tyrese & how he's been playing this season, small sample that it is, while watching some highlights. I think this team, as a whole, is missing the specific skills that Buddy brought every night? We don't seem to have the other guard with Tyrese ghost screening, or actual screening for him effectively. When we do it, the defense react by sagging off the screener then deciding their switch, no-switch to control the match up. The other guard doesn't have the gravity to pull the defense that extra 3 feet outside the mid-range. So Ty, who is not an elite athlete, is now trying to create with much less space, into a defense, where he can't get downhill. His ability to change speeds quickly, which is what really makes him dangerous, gets minimized by the defenses ability to stack?

At the end of last year, I privately thought Shep might jump both Nembhard and Mathurin, because of the strides he was making shooting from movement, but it looks like that hasn't really started to 'click'. He is such a team player, that he might not be 'that' guy that will go get 30+ when the defense gives it to him? without that, he won't create the gravity this team needs from him.

At the end of last year,... I thought that one of our young guys should be ready to step up & take that role as an offensive 'killer', & we should be OK with losing Buddy. Again, small sample, but it seems like none of the young guys are ready to go in and take that role? We need that, and a very similar skill set to Buddy, to balance the offense. It should open the mid-post & help Pascal be more efficient, with less effort; help open the floor for Tyrese; even make more room for Myles on the pick & pop, as the top of the defense has to cover more sideline to sideline.

Unfortunately, until someone steps up to force the defense to open the floor,... I don't see things changing much on the offensive side of the floor?

Like last weekend, I'll settle for IU beating MSU. Pacers and colts less important

Pacers lose by 7 to the Pelicans injury squad who out scrapped the Pacers. The Pacers picked up 2 injuries tonight also. Going to get to see some of the bench depth play soon probably.

I have been saying this about Buddy Hield, I think he made Haliburton better. Having that sharpshooter there with him opened things up for TH so that teams couldn't double team him.

I'm not liking the way this team looks right now, with all the promise of last season and giving the Celtics a pretty tough playoff series they are a disappointment at this point. If they don't start playing better the team might have to be retooled next summer. I think a huge question still remains around Turner with this being his contract year, can he be resigned and stay under the Tax. And what do you have to do to make that happen.
