Murder Suspect Arrested After Leaving Home Of Pacers Williams

Link to Wiretap Story

A murder suspect was arrested after leaving the home of Indiana Pacers forward Shawne Williams on Wednesday night, according to the Associated Press.

Gary Bohannon, 22, of Tennessee was being held without bond in Marion County Jail. Police arrested home around 6 p.m. after he left the house in a truck registered to Williams.

Pacers spokesman David Benner listed Bohannon as a friend of Williams' cousin and said that Shawne wasn't aware of the warrant for Bohannon's arrest.

It should be clarified here that it was the home of Daniels were an alleged rape took place, not Williams.

Anyone else wonder if this happens all around the NBA but only the Pacer's stories get published?!?

I'm feelin a team overhaul and a draft day in which we only choose players from like BYU.

Just bad luck..it kind of symbolizes our season: Almost there, but underperforming. Almost out of the news, but still there and "not charged."

I think we can now safely say that this moment in time, with all things considered, is the darkest time in Pacers franchise history. Seriously, this has got to stop. I do not envy Larry Bird right now. I think hes got by far the toughest job in the NBA right now.

TPTB created this situation, so I feel zero pity for them.

Wake me when this nightmare is over.

The Pacers are the new Trailblazers. Ya'll have been taking gansta-ism to a new level.

* Pacer player goes into stands attacking an innocent fan starting a riot during a game

* Pacer player lets off a few rounds outside a strip club, then gets hit by a car

* Pacer player indicted on felony & misdemeanor charges after bar fight

* Pacer player gets bullets fired at his car (by an assault riffle), Pacers equipment manager shot

* Alleged rape occurs at Pacer player's home

* Alleged murderer is arrested after leaving Pacer player's home

Larry Bird must be rolling over in his grave.

Thanks buddy but we know all the charges, no need for an outsider to point them all out again. Not trying to be mean, but trust me, Pacer fans understand and won't forget about these for a whiiiiile. Luckily you forgot a few I believe like Harrison's suspension and a couple others.

And I don't think Larry Bird is rolling over in his grave because he isn't in a grave because he is alive, last it checked... (sorry a little bitter b/c I am sick of this crap)

My disappointment lies in that this seems to be the SAME dude that was busted around SW before! This means, while Shawne may not have known about the guy being a murderer, he DID know the dude was BAD NEWS. He IS guilty of being an idiot for allowing his cousin to bring that cat over state lines, let alone around his crib. Shawne needs to cut him self off - from "friends" & in needed, some "family" if they are going to continue to put him in this kind of light!!!
-The "Good" news is in both stories he has been caught-up in, Shawne was "innocent" of wrong-doing himself. While his "association" is very concerning, he himself has yet to be guilty of anything more then bad taste. But that said, this crap can not continue!

That seems a bit strong to me. Our front office honchos are victims in this situation, same as us fans.

That is by no means an endorsement of our front office, which has yet to figure a way out of the morass.

I know Williams grew up in tough circumstances. I sure hope his old friends don't drag him down. He's still just a kid who so far as I know hasn't done anything worse than continue to associate with at least one bad character he grew up with. But damn, the jury is really out on him now since this is Strike Two.

UGH.....

We need a very strong & vocal LEADER to stand up to these guys and let them know that they can NOT continue to hang out or even associate with guys like this. We need someone who can take over the team, demand respect...something. Even if they aren't our best player, as long as we can get someone to keep order. Maybe even a very disciplined coach or something

seriously now...what is wrong with this team/organization/city????

rape charges, murder charges, shootings, drugs...and it seems that everytime it happens, one of tha pacers' players is involved.

is it the city? or is it the management that selects all this brainless gangsta-wannabees or is it just bad string of luck?
