There's a link to a video clip on the Bulls board. I'd post it here but I'm waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too lazy.

Nocioni pushed him coming off a screen, Danny popped him with a retaliatory elbow. It was a relatively minor interchange. The suspension was probably automatic because of the elbow.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

Pop him again! Nocioni gets away w/ a lot of things, but is excused b/c "he's that type of player." The same goes for guys like Bowen, Ben Wallace a while back, and even Sir Charles in his day. I love Barkley, but they all got away w/ stuff that the refs let slide.

Same w/ Sheed. If he overreacts, that's just Sheed being Sheed. Let another player talk and flail and B&M that much, and they get T'd up. It's nothing major, but just bothers me sometimes.

The league sees an elbow like that as an auto. game suspension -- even when not called during a game. So that doesn't really bother me. Look at Kobe last year and the follow-thru slaps that was more actively trying to injure someone than Danny's elbow but still Kobe as a star wasn't getting away with that type of stuff despite Bowen and Manu's collective reputation.

I will say I'm happy to see Danny playing with a bit more fire like this. He's been more aggressive on the court and starting to act like a go-to player more and more. He's also not putting up with other player's crap on the floor. That is an elbow that Reggie or MJ would have used to get the player to back the f#*k off. I like that fire out of Danny -- that he's willing to not play dirty but push back which isn't something I think we'd see him do his first two years.

The rule book is pretty clear on this.

Can do: Fight through screens.
Can't do: Elbow players in the face.

Well, he's hit an opponent, now a teammate. Can we get some extra security for the fans? Maybe Javie is next...

I swear when Dunleavy gets popped you'd think he was gonna die. The guy is awesome though.

I think people underestimate DG33's mean streak. That was one of the first things I remember reading about him when we drafted him. He's the nicest most well mannered guy you could ask for off the court but within the 48 minutes of the game, he turns into a different person.
