Heres where it gets interesting. Rose and Beasley blew out the first two. Lets see who we think should be 3rd on the Pacers draft board.
Pacers Draft Board:
1. Derrick Rose
2. Michael Beasley

Once again, I made a post for "Other" but it didn't come through. If you think someone else should be #3 on our draft board, let me know and I will count it.
I think Jerryd Bayless should be 3rd on our board. He fills a need and has good size for the PG position.

Sorry, but I had to go with Lopez. I like Bayless, but I think even with Tinsley injured so often we have a better situation at PG. I think a large part of my vote was also towards getting a C who would take minutes from Murphy so he'd think a little more about jacking up crazy shots.

Now's where it gets interesting. I think it's Jerryd Bayless. PG is probably our biggest need, and I think he's going to be a really good if not great one.

I added the "Other" option...now, I'm about to pick it...If we're in third, I'd put it on the market, looking for hopefully a pick later in the top-10 or 15 plus a player, or a veteran player.
If I couldn't find a deal to my liking, I'd probably put Bayless and Mayo (ugh) in a hat and draw out their names....maybe Gordon, as well.

At #3 I'd play Russian roulette and go with Mayo. IMO, there are three top-notch talents in this draft, and Mayo is the third of them. Maybe I am underestimating Bayless, but I think that Mayo clearly has more talent and has a much better chance of becoming an NBA superstar.
If he doesn't turn out to be a complete headcase.

Thanks for putting the other option.
But by draft board I mean if everyone was available who would we take. It has nothing to do with us picking 3rd. Otherwise we would go fro 1-3 then 11, then thats it.

Gordon's not a true point and turns the ball over too much, and Mayo would only be worth the risk to us if he realized his fullest potential. Too many problems in the past with his type, so people would be out for Bird's head if he failed. There are too many low risk/high reward players out there to go with an inevitable risk/high reward player IMO.

Agreed, my vote goes to O.J. Mayo....

Shocking or not, I acutally have beasly as a 4 for our team, and have it being rose/bayless/mayo for us, based on need.
Mayo fits us so well.

Nice to see we got a little competition with this one. Keep posting, now that we have a close race I'll keep this one going longer.

Out of those, i selected Anthony Randolph. The kid is an amazing athlete. Reminds me alot of Chris Bosh. I think he may even be slightly better then Bosh from all i have read experts say. Randolph is a game changer, like an Amare i believe. A player we can build our franchise around with. I think he may be the sleeper of this draft...

staying as far away from mayo as we possibly can would be a very good thing for this franchise....
i picked bayless....

On a side note, who else thinks it's funny that the mock draft has us taking two shooting guards named Gordon? Anybody wanna bet me on this one? We MAY take Gordon at #11, but to add another SG in the second round would be kind of silly considering we have 18 players who can play there already. I assume we go for a big man somewhere in the draft unless we're planning on keeping JO and him staying healthy the entire year...

That mock draft sucks. Why the hell would the Nets take Augustin when they just traded for Devin Harris? DeAndre Jordan is worth the gamble for them I feel like. Speights at 6 overall? Really? I mean...really? Those are just two of my many, many beefs with that mock.

To be honest with you I think they should take off the mock draft title and make it overall rankings. There would still be a few that I would disagree with, but it appears that whoever made the mock didn't factor in team needs.

I can't believe Ron Artest Jr is about to win this one. The kid has ALWAYS been in trouble, all his life. He goes to college and says he's going to be clean, so he picks #32 for his favorite athlete.... OJ SIMPSON, ok, the guy is only a murderer, but that's ok. To his credit, he does stay out of trouble, but now he's all over the press for taking money.
All these other athletes do it the right way, why can't he? I just don't understand. Is he that desperate to get the wealth that he just couldn't wait?
Mark my words guys, once Mayo makes the big buck in the NBA, he will be the next JR Rider. He won't have any clue how to handle the money.

What mock draft?
DraftExpress- 11. Russell Westbrook, 41. Wayne Ellington
NBAdraft.net- 11. Kevin Lowe, 41. DeVon Hardin
RealGM- 11. Eric Gordon, 41. Bill Walker
What site do you go to for mocks?

Express has us getting Wayne Ellington? Wow that would be a HUGE steal in the second round. Don't know why we would take a combo guard and a shooting guard though.
