It's about time this team caught a break. For 4 yrs now things have been turning to s***. Every time we turn around something is going wrong, Jon Benders injuries, the brawl, Ron Artest being crazy, Stephen Jackson being crazy, JO injuries, Jamaal getting in trouble and being hurt, Daniels getting hurt, bad free agent pickups, more guys getting arrested, guys associating with low lifes(JT, Daniels, Shawne). This is gettin kinda old we need a positive to happen for us. So let's get a top two pick this yr in the lotto and change out luck.

No such thing as "due".

Of all of the things you listed, Bender's injuries, JO's injuries, and possibly Daniels' injury are the only things that we weren't responsible for. Tinsley's problems with injuries are most likely due to his problems with marijuana and alcohol along with his lack of committment to conitioning. I suspect Daniels' are the same, but I've not seen or heard enough from him to tell for sure. I may give you the brawl just because that was more Ben Wallace and Detroit fans than it was Pacers players and we got the good old-fashioned small market screwing on that one. As to the other stuff, none of those players developed their mental and behavioral issues while they were here. We knew about them beforehand and decided to take the risk. Some work out, ours didn't. The only break we're due is a tax break...which sure will help for next month when gas prices go up to two arms and a leg per gallon.

Depends on what you believe in. Being a karma proponent, I do do "due".
However, the Pacers should do the right things any other organization should do: get not only good players and coaches, but good people. Every organization has ups and downs, and our up will come eventually.

The thing that worries me most is, Portland was in the same situation as we were. They had alot of trouble, remember when they were nicknamed the "Jail Blazers"? lol
They had alot of issues on and off the court and with injuries too that they didn't expect and bad deals and such. They drafted Travis OUTLAW which wasn't seen as a good move for them lol. Their attendence which used to always be a big for NBA was one of the lowest, just like ours. However, they've started rebuilding years ago, had Brandon Roy win the ROY and had Aldridge play well, they have now few good vets. Anyways, my point is, their still not fully recovered from their bad era and they have made tons of the right steps since.... what worries me is, how far away are we really?
I know we have a good team, but as i always say, good in the east isn't a #7. Being top 6 is good. How far away are we? How many deals are we going to do before we fix our roster, and out of all those deals, how many will work out? And how many busts will we have in the draft? And when we make several deals, how bad will it be chemistry wise...
I'm afraid that i know the Pacers just said in the Indy Star that it's going to take 3 years to rebuild, i'm really afraid that it may take longer before Indiana basketball is what it used to be with Jackson, Miller, Rose and Smits.

I think we took a step in the right direction with the GSW trade. People said we got screwwed but now Mike D. looks like a winner, and all three of the guys we got have been model citizens. I'm sure we would move JT if he could stay healthy long enough to get someone interested in a deal. We need to start building some of that good Karma, I'd have Shawne and JT and Daniels on a short leash. If they goof up one more time their outta here. In fact I'd be looking to move those 3 on draft day if any deal could be made. JT's contract has only 3 season left and Q. has only 1. Shawne may turnout to be a star or he could just become the best bball player on his cell block team if he doesn't get some new friends.
