Just trying to look for some positives to keep our minds occupied during what is going to be a long off season. I have been encouraged with Grahams contribution during his brief appearances. That is the thing though, they were just that brief appearances. What do you see his potential as, and does anyone think he could be our starter next year. I see him as a 15 ppg 7apg guy with room for improvement if he is given the chance.

I don't think there's a chance. He could be a solid rotational player and maybe, just maybe a starter if he's lucky.

Since he's barely played in the NBA, what his capabilities are is anyone's guess.

But having seen him play quite a bit in college at Oklahoma State, it looked to me like his true position is small forward. Not many minutes available at that spot with the Pacers.

If Graham can guard opposing two guards, then maybe he can work his way into the Pacers' regular rotation. I think that's the role that might be possible for him to fill.

No way. From what I have seen from Stephen I like, but All Star? I doubt it. If Mike Dunleavy and Danny Granger aren't All Stars and Stephen Graham can not beat those guys out, I think you have your answer.

That must be your problem, if Graham had it he wouldn't be in the league at all.

Point taken, but both Granger and Dunleavy have all star potential. It is more a matter of the market they play in than anything. Especially with Dunleavey just now having his breakout season.

He can be a good player in this league. Apparently management can see this as well, and I look forward to him making the naysayers look like fools. I guess I didn't realize he was listed as a sf. I still don't see this team having a quality pg, unless we draft a rookie. Even after that it will take Diener, Graham, and Daniels splitting most of the time while the rookie learns the ropes. Unless somehow something falls into our laps.

all star? he can't even get off the bench. he's a good kid and doesn't go crazy on the bench. makes a great 13th or 14th man. so far no more than that. maybe he can work up to be a 9th or 10th man but he's a long, long way from a starter at this point.

I like Graham, he plays hard and I cant say that for everbody but Allstar?! I cant even imagine him ever securing himself in the NBA longterm letalone see him in an Allstar uni...

I won't say all-star either, because only a hand few are at that level. However, i do think he has very high potential and i do think he will be a regular on some team. I'm not sure if it will be Indiana or not, but i do think he'll be a star somewhere. He didn't play alot this season and when he did play, he didn't only play in garbage time. He played jus over 5 min per game and scored 4ppg and 1rpg, which translates just under 32ppg and 8rpg. That are crazy type stats and not too many players in the NBA average those type of per 40 stats in the league as reserves either, so it's not like theres a ton of players like him.

I saw a report once and they talked about it and they mentioned like 3-4 players who did that and all became stars. Obviously theres more that they didn't mention who were nobodies lol, but i just figured i'd point that out. I forget the names they had.

I think Stephen Graham could be the next Josh Powell and surprise everyone by working his way up into being a pretty reliable end of the rotation type player. I mean, we had absolutely no expectations other than seeing him in a suit, and he impressed the coaches enough for them to pick up his option for next year and guarantee his contract. That's a pretty good sign.


But All-Star? No. I don't see that happening.
