Personally I would love to have Mike Miller, but giving up our 1st rounder for him isn't going to solve our point guard problem. I like the idea of Diogu for Crittenton though. Miller would just further clog up our wing rotation. Love your thinking though. We need another playmaker.

I actually like this deal. If we could expand it by adding Diogu in and get back Lowry or, less likely, Crittenton, that would be great.

I anticipate he will respond less favorably, lol. Regardless, any deal in which we get rid of Troy Murphy and actually get back a real life player in return is a victory for me.

I think Critt would be easier to get rid off...but you said a PG problem...whats wrong with Tinsley?

We hope you're joshing. I think I'd take #28/Critt/Miller for #11/Ike/Murph...

We could cross our fingers that Rush falls a few picks, or that Lawson's injury/arrest drop him to #28.

Or Mario Chalmers. J.J. Hickson's stock is rising too, he seems like a steal in the late first round.

Why would the Pacers trade our only chance at getting a legit PG in the draft for another wing player? Have ya'll forgotten about Dunleavy and Granger?

In my opinion, Miller is more of a true shooting guard than either Dunleavy or Granger.

Simply gives us versatility...and rids us of Murphy's deal.

PR07...I think Chalmers as well, but he might be a tad of a reach there.

So where does that put Dunleavy? On the bench? Miller has a pretty long deal to, no?

miller has 2 years...Murphy has 3

So we trade a player, who over-payed, is at least useful to us, and the 11th pick for a play who would be a bench player on the Pacers, or put another very good, long term money, player on the bench, and the 28th pick just to cut a year off of Murphy's deal?

Are you serious? No bright side for us? Murphy sucks. Murphy is paid $10 million+ per year for the next three years. Miller is good. He makes $8 million+ per year for the next two years. He, unlike Murphy, has value, so if we wanted to trade him, we could.

I like Miller but I don't want to swap picks what about a deal like Murphy, Daniels and Diogu for Miller, Collins and either Crit or Lowry?

What about a Troy Murphy, Shawne Williams, Ike Diogu, and #11 pick for Mike Miller, Mike Conley Jr., and a future Memphis 2nd round pick (they don't have one this year)?


That's a deal I can get behind. You run a 3 man swing rotation of Dunleavy, Miller, and Granger, with each getting about 32 minutes a night at the swing positions (each of them can play our swing positions equally). Conley immediately becomes the PG of the future and if we can't trade Tinsley, then we essentially platoon Conley with Tinsley, with Diener picking up any extra minutes. We get very thin at PF and C though as we're essentially left with JO and Foster.

It's a good question, but why the hell would they take on Troy Murphy's contract at all? Answer me that one.
