Trade Tinsley for Mike James (his contract is 2 years shorter than Tinsley's)
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash=
Trade JO + Dunleavy (i know i would hate to see him leave also) for Hinrich + Nocioni + Thomas + Gooden (we might asking for too much)
Trade Rush + Harrison for Frye
Leave us with:
Hinrich/Diener/#11
Granger/Flip/Mike James
Nocioni/Shawne Williams
Frye/Thomas/Diogu
Murphy/Gooden/Foster/

I don't really understand how this helps us? Our front court would be a joke. Our bench a even bigger joke.
I'd prefer Granger at small forward and if we do move Dunleavy i think it will to open up room for Granger to be a SF and us just knowing we don't want MDJ at SG..... the brightside of this is we'd have a top 3 pick in 2009.

Rush is an unrestricted FA. He can not be traded or S&T.

Yeah this would not be any good trades for the Pacers.

our front court right now is a joke. We start Murphy and Foster (theres no point in saying JO because hes never healthy). Frye and Murphy is better than Foster and Murphy

Technically, he could possibly be S&T, but we don't have any cap room, and he'd have to come out of the MLE or a minimum salary, something that any other team in the league could do.
The problem with the deal is that both Rush and Harrison are free agents, and both would have to be S&T. A double S&T rarely, if ever, happens. Plus, Portland just doesn't have roster spots to add anybody else, and I think they'd rather have Channing Frye than either of the guys we send them.

I'm not debating that but our front court of Granger and O'Neal (which technically is our front court right now) is way better then your lineup. But, i do agree our front court is a joke and needs help. What you posted is the finished product. Atleast now we have room and hope for change to make it better and not make it worse.

I'd much rather have Jeff Foster than Channing Frye.

I agree. I personally think a lot of what you have proposed is a lateral move at best. There is no point in making a move just to make a move.
