No question, do it. I highly doubt the Blazers would be interested though. I mean their fans were over here trying to get Granger without giving up Roy, Aldridge or Oden.

I heard Portland talking about dealing the 13th pick and Webster for Barbosa..... which isn't the same as this but i have a feeling if the value for Barbosa is that, then the value for Shawne Williams is much less.

True. But it is obvious they want an offensive SF. And they said they want to deal the pick. And they also are shopping Jack. I figured maybe but maybe not I guess.

Yeah i know where you're coming from i just arn't confident that Williams' value is that high. I would love that deal. So i hope you're right. I like Jack and i really like the 13th pick. lol

I could see Shawne maybe landing Jack if Portland values him as a SF. However, I think that's the upper limit of his value right now and I can't see him being worth the pick let alone Jack and the pick. Giving them more 2nd round picks seems silly since they have approximately 87 2nd round picks in the next few drafts. I liked your Memphis deal though.

yeah i thought maybe this was a stretch. a guy can dream though. lol. I think IM just too concerned with fixing all of our problems (off court issues, salary cap issues, falling star issues, and depth issues.) in one offseason which never happens nore should it because rushing a solution always turns out badly.

greenway, you keep trying to trade that 09 2nd, but Larry already traded it away for Stanko.

take out the 13 and the 41 and give us one of Portland's two high second rounders and it might work. then it's Shawn for Jack and the 31 or 35. that's the kind of trade you'd do if the guy you were after was still on the board at the pick.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Williams have a history of off-court issues? I think he's very talented, but I'm not sure if he'd fit into what Portland's trying to build in terms of character.

You're certainly not wrong. Shawne's problem is that he surrounds himself with people that get themselves in trouble, including murder suspects. He, himself, has nothing on his own character other than surrounding himself with bad seeds and a marijuana possession, however, it does look bad for his own character.

Although i'd bet anything the kid is a huge pot smoker. That doesn't bold well and look good for his character as most people in front office hope players can grow out of it by that age and make a living and be responsible. I'm sure many here smoked when they were younger too, i mean i did, but i'm 24 years old now, i got a good job and a long time GF and that stuff is old news.... over 3 years clean.

Dunleavy and Foster are two of the most popular players we have. If we were to trade these guys I would want more in return.

Yeah, i had originally had Tins in there instead of Foster but i dont really think they would do that. How about sub Foster with Tins and Shawne??

Larry Bird said today that Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy are as close to "untouchable" as you can get so i doubt we would make this deal, even though i'd love to get Jack, and i'd love to get Frye even more and on top of that the 13th pick is very sexy... but we won't kill ourselves in a deal and Dunleavy is part of our future.

Yea i just read that about dun being untouchable. But still with the 13th we could get Rush and have an instant replacement for dun. Offensively Rush could be just as good if not better than Dun within 2-3 years and his d is already superior to Duns. With a healthy JO, Danny, and Rush we have a top defense by the end of the year.
Rush with the 13 as an instant replacement for Dun the deal is Jack, Frye, and the big expiring for jeff.
