WOW. I wonder what it would cost us. Future first round pick? Jamaal Tinsley?

I personally think Pat Riley has lost it. lol

Yeah, just saw it. I wouldn't put too much stock in it. Bird probably had a discussion about Marion centered around JO, but we're probably out of it now. I could see that they'd probably want Marion at PF with Granger at SF, but we don't really have anything to offer that Miami would want other than long-term, big money contracts.

Considering the filler would likely have to be at least 2 of the following 3: Dunleavy, Tinsley, and Foster, I highly doubt that Miami would have any interest and they'd likely be looking asking for both of the 1st round picks just to take on the horrible contracts.

If this were true I'm sure it would be centered around the 11th pick. I don't see this being anything serious though. I'm afraid it would cost us too much.

Well, the report also says Toronto is in talks, who don't have any first round pick. So maybe Miami isn't looking for a first rounder?

I heard, last night on Fox Sports radio they had an achieved interview from earlier in the day from a NBA expert, who said, Miami is trying to CUT payroll because next summer Carlos Boozer is a free agent and sopposetly Boozer doesn't want to talk to Utah and told his friends he's going "home". His home is in Miami.

Well we definitely have the expirings in Foster and Daniels, but I just don't see the Heat doing it for just that unless they had a guarantee deal already ready for Boozer to sign the very second the FA starts and even then I imagine it would take more than Foster and Daniels.

I think its like what Scoot said, the rumors started before the JO for Ford trade happened. Now I just don't see any deal that would make sense for both teams.

We don't have the expirings that Miami needs. They'd be giving up about $20 million in expirings, and taking back only about $11 million in expirings. At that point, you then have to include either Murphy, Tinsley, or Dunleavy, something I don't think Miami wants. They might have interest in Dunleavy, but only if they can move a long-term deal themselves in the deal.

Your right, I was forgetting Marion is expiring himself. I assume it was pre JO trade talks.

Also, did anyone hear about Walsh? He said a big name player - one that he thought wouldn't be traded - could be on the move. He said he was absolutely shocked when he heard about it.
