nice post.wow after looking at this it makes the east look like it will be very competive, and not all that easy to make the playoffs. the top 1-5 teams are probably locked for playoffs but then it could be anyone. I think the bucks might be a very tough team this year with the addition of RJ.

I know they have takent, but they have underachieved every year since the days of Robinson, cassell, and allen.

Jefferson has already expressed his anger of being dealt there

orlando at #2 is wrong, shard and turk doesnt work together, if they were smart they would trade turk for a sg or pf or w.e value they could get because it's just stupid putting shard as a power forward when he cant play the position at all, he is tall enough but he is a pure power forward. also, their point guard is ok...average, they have no shooting guard or real inside presence (at all) other than dwight.

with big z and big ben aging and getting worse by the minute (altho big z will be solid) the cavs basically have a terrible backcourt, LEBRON, and a mediocre frontcourt for a team that u think can be #3 in the east...i take the pistons over lebron alone any day...

the bulls have lots of talent, but they had loads of talent this year too and look what happened, it depends on their chemistry. also, ben gordon cant play defense, their rank shouldnt be so high when derrick rose hasnt proven anything in the nba yet (while i think he will be great, just maybe not right away).
also, it depends how well gooden can carry a frontcourt in which he is the biggest presence.

the heat are a tossup, i mean, zo is their only real frontcourt player and he's aging and injury prone, beasley should be playing sf in the nba...wade is coming off not playing a whole year, and when he did play it seemed to me like he was turning the ball over too much.
and having mario chalmers as ur starting point guard is gonna hurt.

hwaks are really talented, and if their coach can work the rotation with smith.m.williams.childress properly and bibby can play as wella s he did late last season then they can do good things.

the raptors' success hinges on their frontcourt's health, how much jose is going to take over on offense when needed, if kapono decides to chuck up more shots and if jamario can improve his handles and parker can not regress as much as his age should show...btw, parker isnt leaving this off-season...lol

wizards have no defense, period.

if thadeus young can continue to improve and andre miller plays like he did in the playoffs...i can see this team beign pretty good, altho they have no post players AT ALL, dalembert is weak offensively but can grab boards and such.

if ford plays as well as he is capable of, a team with granger, rush and dunleavy can and will hurt other teams, but i have trouble seeing any consistent production from troy murphy...if hibbert can be a scoring option in the post that will help the pacer's half-court play a lot.

bucks have no one that plays defense, villanueva is never motivated, but they have lots of talent, they're just never able to put it together.

the rest o dont care about, the knicks will be worse than the nets, at least the nets have a real rotation throughout while the knicks just have people all over the place, worst built team ever, they shoulda picked up a point guard in the draft rather than galinari imo.

btw:

this is just my opinion on the matter....i wont rank anyone or anything i was just going thru ur order and giving my opinion on each team...peace.

I agree with a lot of what has been posted. It would be a miracle if Indiana could get passed the first round. Boston, Detroit, Orlando, Cleveland and Chicago are pretty much locks. Everything else is up for grabs IMO.

The pacers will make the playoffs. I don't know what else to say, I have a feeling that a young team like ours with new pieces and a running offense will make strides.

Orlando was #2 in the East most last season, and that was the first year that core of players had played together, Dwight Howard is the Beast in the East and gets better every year.. I think he may end up being more dominant than Shaq was because he is more fit and will probably be hurt less through the course of his career.

With the Bulls, I don't do predictions based off of what Derrick rose has proven already... I base predictions off of what I think will happen

The Cavs have servicaable big men (remember they have joe smith, varejao, and hickson) and Gibson and pavlovic were hurt a lot last year... Lebron has showed no signs of peaking yet plus the Pistons are bound to have a down year with their bigs aging and their GM unhappy.

Unless Anthony Parker has already declined... he was offered a big deal in Europe.

76ers have Marreese Speighst now which will help. and they have unlimited quick guards who can score

The Knicks didn't finish in last place this year, and I think they have too much talent to be the worst record, but I see no team being below them excpet the Nets. Carter is an unmotivated jumpshooter, Simmons has been hurt the last 2 years, Jianlian and Lopez are both raw talents that may not produce much soon, especially jianlian. No, I don't think the Nets are ready to play this year, I think they made their move to aquire future assets while putting themselves into the race for lebron

parker can accept it all he wants, he's under contract and with the raptors lacking depth at the wings we arent letting him go without getting something big in return.

speights is a huge project and wont be the post scorer the sixers need.

the knicks are in trouble worse than the nets, at least the nets have players at proper positions, and a young point guard in harris.

The Knicks are in more trouble in the long haul

But do you honseslty think they will be worse than last year with Isiah as the coach?

toronto raptors in 8th.,, hahah wow... lets see here shall we, depending on the health of our players

Jose Calderon has proven to be one of the best point guards in the league, and shot 50/40/90,, this past season...

O Neal and Bosh commanding double teams, and kicking it out to 3 of the best 3 point shooters in the league, kapono, parker, and calderon.

pretty good bench,, bargnani, ukic, adams, humphries, graham, jawai, moon, to be continued

and Anthony Parker is not a free agent and is under contract for 1 more year which means, even if he wanted to, he can not sign with a european club due to his contract.

As of today, my guess is that the Pacers are better than the Bucks, Bobcats, Heat, Knicks and Nets. The Bucks and Bobcats are thoroughly incompetent organizations, the Knicks will take time to dig out of the huge crater they are in, the Nets are starting over at square one, and I'm just not feelin' the Heat...they have no point guard, no center, and Shawn Marion doesn't seem like a very good fit there plus he's crazy. You can't win in the NBA with just two guys unless you also have a pretty good supporting cast.

On paper we look to be about as good as the Bulls, Wizards, and Sixers IMO...that's the Fringe Playoffs Team club. (I can't put the Bulls any higher than that, not with a rookie point guard, and not until they get some better frontcourt guys.)

Barring injuries or some sort of nonsense, the Hawks, Raptors, and Magic look like pretty solid playoff teams to me.

And the Celtics and Pistons will contend for the conference championship, with Cleveland as a darkhorse.

I'm not buying the Bulls/Heat/Hawks where they're projected here. The Heat could make a big leap if Wade stays healthy, but Marion is not a star and Beasley hasn't played a single game yet. The Bulls big man rotation is pretty iffy, and they've got a lot of baggage to sort out between now and the start of the season. The Hawks, well, I just don't like that team. I think Joe Johnson is pretty good, but I don't have a lot of faith in the rest of them. At the end of the season last year, the Hawks were younger and cheaper, but I thought the Pacers were a better team than they were...and the Pacers weren't very good.
