They get a young back up point guard, can run the break, great assist to turnover ratio, excellent shooter, modest contract. His defense is really the only average part of his game. We get an expiring contract, and a good mentor to Rush.

Ehhhh...I like the idea of having a mentor to Rush, but I'm sure Eddie wouldn't be happy coming to a rebuilding team and I like the idea of having Jack/Diener in case Ford gets hurt. I'm scared that Ford will get hurt before we drop Tinsley and without Diener we'd have to strongly consider letting Tins play.

Yeah, I'd rather hold onto the PG, especially since I'm counting on Tinsley being gone. If something, God forbid, happens to Ford, I'd rather have Jack and Diener rather than Jack and a 3rd or 4th string SG in Eddie Jones.
Not a horrible idea, but I just don't see it as the right fit.
