After trailing the entire first half, the Pacers cut the deficit to one going into the break. It left them in perfect position to allow a strong third quarter to help them surge ahead and take control of the game. Down 25-19 after the 1st Quarter, Indiana outscored Miami by at least 5 points in each of the three remaining quarters to record the 95-84 win. The Heat were led by their rookies, Mario Chalmers (23 pts) and Michael Beasley (17). Beasley regained his shooting touch somewhat, hitting on 5 of 12 and collecting 8 caroms. Chalmers was impressive again, but with some warts. He got most of his 23 points at the line (17 of 17), but shot only 2 of 8 from the floor. He dished 6 assists, but turned the ball over 7 times and collected 7 fouls.

The Faux Pacers placed 5 players in double figures once again, led by Shawne Williams' 25 points. Shawne had the touch yesterday, hitting 4 of 7 treys on his way to 7 of 15 from the floor, but he did have 7 TO's. Joining him in double figures were Josh Davis (19), Stephen Graham (17), Earl Calloway (12), and Andre Emmett (10). Earl Calloway added 2 assists and 3 steals for another solid game.

Through three games, Hoosier alum Earl Calloway and returning Pacer Shawne Williams have led the Pacers in scoring with 16 pts per contest. Three other Faux Pacers are averaging double figures: Stephen Graham (15.3), Josh Davis (13), and Andre Emmett (13). Calloway leads the Pacers in assists with 4.7 per night and Steals with 2 per contest, while several of his teammates are averaging around 4 boards per night. Indiana is averaging 91.3 points on 45% shooting (48% from 3), while giving up only 83.7 points and 43% (31% from 3). They are also shooting 80% from the line, against their opponents' 70%. Turnovers have been a problem, with an average of 19 per night.

The Orlando Magic dropped their third contest this week, losing to the Bulls, 86-74. Though close through the half, Chicago slowly pulled away in the second led by Tyrus Thomas' 25 points and Joakim Noah's 10 poitns and 12 rebounds. The Magic placed four players in double figures, led by Marcin Gortat's 14 points and 10 rebounds. Derrick Rose did not play for the Bulls due to a coach's decision.

Orlando has been led by Hoosier native Courtney Lee at 17.7 points per night on 44% from the floor (46% from 3). The only other double figure scorer they have is returning Magic player, Marcin Gortat, at an even 10 points per night. Gortat also leads them in rebounds at 6.7, while Kevin Kruger is their leading assist man with 20 through three games. The Magic have only managed 75 points per contest on 39% shooting while giving up 90.7 points and 49% shooting. They've also been pounded on the boards 147-123 and gotten to the line by an average of almost a dozen fewer times per game then their opponents.

Gooooooooo! Faux Pacers!!!!!!!!!

We have beat this horse into the ground. The rosters were finalized before the trade was official so they cant play.

21-14 Magic after the first quarter. Marcin Gorat is dominating this game. 8pt and 4 rebounds already. Shawne Williams 2 points.

Pacers shoot something like 21% from the floor. Pathetic. lol

Magic wins 82-80. What a choke job by the Pacers, they had a good lead, after a poor start but their scoring was pathetic late in the game. Their defense and rebounding was even worse. Shawne Williams hit a pretty clutch 3 with a few seconds left to make it a interesting finish but def a poor ending for the Pacers.

The best player in this game was by far Haywood Workman... lol, great job as a ref. I've see a good amount of summer league (well Pacers) and officiating has been very awful each game. Workman was actually pretty decent.

Btw, down 2 with like 8 seconds left, Earl Calloway came down like Tinsley. Had 2 players some what open, but he kept it himself, did he drive in? Nope. Pass it to Shawne Williams? Nope. Ran in, then started to run back to the arc, and shot a terrible air-ball. Horrible shoot. I don't know, but just watching these games has made me hate Earl Calloway.

Williams actually had a decent game. I wanna say like 15pt-ish.
