Pacers trade Williams/ 2010 2nd round pick
Bobcats trade May
Pacers do it to get Williams out of town. May gets them the young pf they need if he can stay healthy and has a short contract if he doesn`t.
Bobcats do it to pick up a young player to replace one who has always been hurt for them and also get a pick ( even if it is only a 2nd rounder.)

Bobcats already have Wallace and Dudley at the SF position. May is a much better PF than Williams could be, so they would pass.

The Bobcats would definetly pass. Whatever you do though, do not take this idea over to the Bobcat board. Before we got Ford I was seeing what they would want for Felton. I proposed giving them Dunleavy and Foster for Felton (something I felt was more than reasonable) and I basically got ripped on there.

Not to mention, i don't think new head coach Larry Brown, would trade a UNC player unless he got something real good in return.

2005 NBA Draft...
#3. Deron Williams, Utah Jazz
#4. Chris Paul, New Orleans Hornets
#5. Raymond Felton, Charlotte Bobcats
One of these things is not like the others....
One of these things just doesn't belong....
As for the trade, Charlotte has Wallace and Morrison at SF, no need to take on Shawne. The only reasonable way we could pique their interest would be by including Rasho's expiring contract in exchange for Nazr Mohammed, which probably wouldn't be worth it for us. He's listed as having 3 years remaining with an early termination option for the final season. I'm not positive how ETO's work. If it's similar to a player option, I'd pass. If it's like a team option, I'd give it real consideration.

ETO's are player options.

They ripped you for that offer? I would be royally pissed if we did that deal, even before we got TJ. Felton is a bum.

They did, I was shocked. Before we got TJ I thought Raymond Felton would be a guy who was serviceable and relatively young, so I thought I would throw something out there and see what Bobcat fans thought. I wouldn't want to give up Dunleavy/Foster for Felton, but I also didn't want to see like a troll going on their board and throwing a bunch of lowball offers out to them. When I threw out Dunleavy (doesn't really fill a need, but easily the best player in the deal/Duke connection) and Foster (fills a major need in rebounding/C play) I figured at least they would be somewhat warm to the idea. I was wrong, basically what I heard was the only Pacer they would want in this deal was Granger, and there was no way in hell they would consider what I proposed.

haha Like Felton and filler is worth Dun and Foster? Sorry Dun and foster are better than Morrison and May niether one of them played as many games in their careers as Dunleavy did last season, so we would be better off to keep our guys. I'd give them jt for Morrison and May maybe toss in Shawne and a 2nd. But not much more.

May might be a good player in the pacers in my perspective if he tries harder than usual.

Reading comprehension isnt your thing I take it. Read it again. I did not put periods in "TJ", so "even before we got TJ." is the end of the sentence. "Felton is a bum." is an entirely different sentence.

I actaully think Felton is pretty good but I mean the kid is injured every other week, the fact that the bobcats took DJ Augustin over Brook Lopez says alot aswell. He could have been a good fit but I like Ford alot more.
If we got Sean May without giving up a major piece I would be extremely happy, I would rather have May then Charlie V or any other PF we have been rumoured to be interested in. Not sure how high the Bobcats are on him though, hopefully pretty low.

why would we want May? Hes another often injuried player. Hes good when plays, but then again so is TInsley. I really dont see any point in getting May. He would help our bigs, but his track record right now is too good

Thats the thing, we are not going to get a player like Sean May with a good track record, that would cost too much. May can score, rebound, is a solid defender and has a good clean image, he is probably our best case scenario. Yes he has had injury problems but if he hadnt then we would not even be talking about him as a possibility.

I dont think May qualifies as a "best case scenario". I'd just assume look elsewhere for frontcourt help. The guy is never healthy and really hasnt done anything to light the world on fire when he has played.

I mean best case "realistic" scenario. Who do you think we could get that is a better fit?

Anyone who hasnt spent their entire pro career injured.

I didnt think so, if you have a suggestion im all ears but to just shoot down every idea contributes nothing to the forum.

I shut down one idea. Trading for a guy who hasnt been healthy his entire career doesnt strike me as a savvy move, and far from a "best case scenario". If you are adamant about me making a suggestion for the benefit of the forum, here's a few guys who would probably be better options at a similar price: Josh Boone, Craig Smith, Charlie Villanueva (probably a higher price).
