Anyone else impressed with this kid? Heres a guy that was overlooked by everyone but continuously makes me proud that hes a Pacer...I just read his interview on Pacers.com and I really believe that he can make a small impact in his little role and he has the character we need right now...This is my appreciation thread...

Stephen is a guy that likely will not play a lot, but given the opportunity he can come in and make an impact (see Toronto last season). Whenever he has managed to get into the game I have never doubted his focus or effort, it is always there. Stephen has a nice jump shot and some athleticism. I wouldn't mind seeing him get 5-10 minutes per night at the two as I see him bringing athleticism and defense.

I think all this with Shawne Williams could potentially lead to him being traded and Stephen Graham taking over the backup SF spot. I really like Graham, he really deserved more time last year, I hope he can get it this year.

I have a hard time with the thought of Stephen Graham in our regular rotation. That is like having Denier as a starting PG..... Oh, nevermind!

I talked to him at the Pacers Draft Party for awhile and he is a really down to earth guy. Was really nice and was engaged in the conversation. I wish he would get more minutes since he has such good per 36 mins stats or whatever. I wish him the best of luck.

Excellent post.
First i'd like to say welcome to the forums, and also welcome PaceWalker. Always glad to have new members! It continues to be the best Pacers forum on the internet i think. Never a dull moment. haha.
Anyways, back to Graham. I agree, i really like him alot. I think he's still a good "project" player. He has excellent size and quickness to become a solid player. He's a great pro like you said, he's a nice guy, good attitude. Also, his stats per 48 minutes are unreal. 32ppg, 8rpg, 3apg. I know it's because he's played very little and played in garbage time but still, there is other players around this league who play same minutes vs. same opponents and don't get nearly the same stats as Graham.
I really want to see him play alot in the pre-season. I think JOB will give him a serious look with the regulars. Just to see how he would do. I think he's a project player but he has potential of being one of those players who comes out of nowhere into "star status" so to speak. He has the tools thats for sure.

Stephen is a good role player. In this team and with this management who loves role players, Stephen will surely, step by step, climb up the ladder. Same here, i am thinking maybe he's a project. Though i don't see him as a future all-star. He's the guy who provides quality minutes despite of having little playing time.

Stephen's quickly worked his way up amongst Pacers fans from an expected cut in pre-season, to making the roster, to actually being respected, and now this off-season, I don't think I saw many trades, if any at all that had Stephen just "thrown-in".
I think that, in and of itself, is a testament to his work ethic, results, and professionalism.
