Divison News: Artest to Detroit? What?!

How odd would this be? Although, maybe he will ruin their team too?

Detroit: Could this be why Artest was so interested in interviewing brawl instigator John Green a while back? It would be a brilliant PR move if the Pistons were looking to put a package together for Artest.

And from what I was told from one source close to the Pistons, they are. I've yet to get this info from more than one person, so stay tuned. But much like the Mavs' situation, this could be one of those where the player the Kings want (perhaps Tayshaun Prince) would be different than the one offered (Jason Maxiell, anyone?). Pure speculation on my part in terms of the potential pieces.

I don't want to play this nut case that many times a season and in the playoffs.

Wow. I won't believe any of this until I see it.

In other news, there is growing speculation that the USA might want to put together a package for star terrorist Osama Bin Laden, in a deal that includes either George W. Bush or a future Vice Presidential pick.

Ain't gonna happen.

Has there ever been an instance of a professional team acquiring a player its fans hate more? Maybe Dennis Rodman going to the Bulls after his years in Detroit...I really can't think of anyone else who would even come close.

They'd never trade Prince for Artest. Ronnie is a great player but a team killer wasn't Sacto pretty good before he got there?

I'm a follower and fan of the Kings, and Ron's not the reason why the Kings have dropped off, if he was, then he would of been dealt by now... it's really a number of different issues, not relating to him. Interior defense significantly lacking, limited big man offense, Mike Bibby being exposed and not as good without Vlade/Webber/Christie (just Miller isn't enough as a passer), also getting hurt some too much. Thus being inconsistent and a more limited player.
