Re: Lakers - Pacers
sure - marginally helps us financially (a good deal more if vladimir opts out of his final year - which he could well be inclined to do). unfortunately, i don't think tinsley is much of a fit for the lakers who like to utilize more of non-traditional point guard. this is the sort of deal i am hoping bird can make though - if it doesn't bring us something really useful, at least it should move us in the right direction on the books.

Re: Lakers - Pacers
No chance of that trade happening.
The Lakers would have to pay Tinsley for three years, instead of Vlad for two, and they'd rather have Vlad than Tinsley anyway.
And Mihm as an expiring contract/big body cannon fodder is probably more valuable to the Lakers than Williams is. Even if they'd rather have Shawne and his potential more than Mihm and his expiring contract, I can't see them liking Shawne enough to swallow three years of Tin Man, not when they already have Odom, Walton and Trevor Ariza to play small forward.

mizzou i thought tinsley and vlad had the same contracts. both being close to smae amount and both for 3 years.
My reasons
Why IND: Just to rid ourselves of tinsley.
Why LAL: They want a sf who can score ala shawne. they ahve been wanting to rid themselevs of vlad for a while now.

Re: Lakers - Pacers
I don't see Vlad Rad opting out of the last year of his contract just because he had a decent end to the year. He's pretty worthless other than that run he had up until the NBA Finals.
I think this is close value, but that Tinsley has no value in the triangle offense for the Lakers, while Vlad Radmanovic is at least a long-range bomber for them that can be useful. There's really no reason for the Lakers to do this. It'd likely have to be a 3 way deal where Tinsley ends up elsewhere.

No that doesn't benefit us at all. Plus that dude Williams is a knuckle head prone for trouble. He's you guys trash to worry about. No bail outs here.

That might change if he had Kobe and Phil Jackson breathing down his neck.
