IF.... THEN.... Game

A favorite game from last summer, that I have not seen started... So I will take the honors...

For those of you who dont know how to play, the game is simple... The poster gives a statement that begins with "IF"... The following poster then finishes the statement as seen fit but starts the post with "THEN"... The only rule is that you follow the forum rules... Then finish your post with another "IF" statement... I will start us off here...

IF Tinsley is traded...

THEN I won't be surprised ( yes, I think that we can make the 8th seed with this team....I am that optimistic of our chances this season ).

IF Roy Hibbert is given a consistent 15mpg in his rookie season.....

THEN Danny, like Iggy, will be slightly to marginally overpaid, but not prohibitively. The market is being defined, and I expect Danny to get something closer to Josh Smith/Monta Ellis/Luol Deng, but Iggy is a reasonable benchmark.

IF TJ Ford plays 70+ games this year...

and we haven't signed to an extension...THEN we just cost ourselves either (a) a lot of money or (b) a good young player. If we have signed him to an extension, THEN we (likely) got our money's worth.

IF the Pacers can reduce their Points given up per game by 1.0...

THEN considering the improvements of many eastern confernce teams that would be a considerable achievement, but won't improve our overall record much.

IF (a big IF) Brandon Rush is a revelation and deserves big minutes what would our Starting Lineup and Rotation look like?

THEN, I can't finish that statement at all grammatically. Let's not end our "IF" statements with question marks. But the lineup would be Ford, Rush, Dunleavy, Granger, and Rasho. That would be putting an extremely small lineup out there, and the game may not start this way, but I can see this unit finishing games.

IF the Pacers get a PF, his name would most likely be...

Can't finish that sentence grammatically with THEN, either but.

IF the Pacers get a PF, then his name is most likely to be Kenyon Martin.

IF the Pacers don't trade Jamaal Tinsley before the start of training camp...

THEN it wont matter too much, because there isnt much room for him in the rotation. It will just get him a nicer contract next offseason.

Then Tinsley will either be told to stay away from the team... or will be sporting some nice suits till his time here is done... And Williams will be bench fodder...

If Murphy steps up and averages 15 and 10...
