An interesting look back

I thought it was interesting to look back on the comments from week to week for the 07-08 Pacers. A couple things of note : The Pacers record on the road is much better without JO then with (take it for what it's worth). They didnt have a lot of consistency week to week. Sometimes beating Utah at Utah by 21, then getting blow out by Charlotte next. I am thinking (hoping) that some of the up and down last year wass due to the drama off the court. Whether it was legal issues or injuries, last year there was a lot of things that distracted the team, and without a strong leader the team was inconsistent. I think this year, with the team being together in training camp, a new leader in Ford, and no forseen off court issues, they should be more consistent. Another thing was when we went against great defensive teams like Boston or Detroit, we got obliterated.

Oh, and love this JO quote from week 15

"Next year, wherever I'm at, whether it's Indy or wherever else, I'm not going to miss the All-Star [Game] and my team is not going to be struggling."

Just my take :o

I agree that it's nice to have an active board.

It's the dog days of summer. Football season is starting and nothing new has happened since the draft, we beat the Tinsley issue to death and there isn't much that gets us going. Now you want an in depth discussion of JO 2 months after he has been traded? I rather just forget the guy. 8-)

I never paid attention to power rankings because it was usually a look at how well the team was performing recently, which is something I picked up just from observing the NBA so much during the season.

lol,

I was being pissy, it wasnt about the rankings as more as how the team progressed. I understand the board will be more active come traing camp, just a little bored I guess

Trust me if theres something going on I try and post it even if has the tiniest bit related to the Pacers. Theres just not a lot going on. Or thats being publicated anyways. I have posted about 8 Pacer related articles in the past 2 days. Considering the time of year it is I consider that a lot of content. They may not be the most riviting of stories, but its something to read.
