Ailing Tisdale hoping to rebound once more

Wayman Tisdale's most recent album release is entitled "Rebound."


That's just what the popular former Pacers power forward turned jazz musician plans to do after undergoing surgery to amputate part of his right leg Monday in Oklahoma City. Tisdale, 44, has been battling bone cancer for more than a year.

Announcing the surgery in a letter to fans posted on his website, Tisdale wrote....

I really dont know him that well.. Its always said to hear about cancer, but its good to hear hes prepared to fight and beat it.

Wayman, and his high-top fade, was one of the first Pacers that I ever remember from my earliest memories of the team. I hope he can make a full recovery and keep on living it up with his music.

Man, I hope Tisdale is OK. He's a good guy, even if he did go to a redneck university. :wink:

Still possibly the best I ever saw play in the Big 8/Big 12. He was an UNBELIEVABLE college player. Not sure why exactly his pro career didn't turn out better, although he was a decent NBA player.
