Whats going on with Landry?

I haven't heard anything about him in a while. I remeber it was rumored that Bird was interested. Any news on why he hasn't been resigned. Maybe we can offer Baston, McRoberts for S&T Landry. I dont know a lot about him. Except what I read.

I think that the Rockets are waiting til the last possible second to resign him to see if another team offers him a contract which they will immediately match.

I would love to have him as a part of our future core of players....but I'm not holding out hope....the Rockets will keep him.

I think Houston is simply hoping to pay him as little as possible, and is waiting for him to come to them with an offer (Landry is a restricted free agent, so Houston has the right to match any offer to Landry).

However, an offer of Baston and McRoberts for Landry is insulting. They'd rather let Landry walk away for nothing in return rather than having to pay Baston and McRoberts to sit on the bench for them.

Long story short, it's just negotiating. Houston will likely re-sign Landry, or will get something of value in return for him. We just aren't able to offer anything of value for him.

Last i heard he was in talks with some teams in Europe. Has he made a commitment to the NBA or could he jump the ship at any given moment still?

last i heard was that Houston was waiting to get an update on his knee before they extended his contract
