Hulk Harrison to the Wolves
1 year contract w/ the Wolves, can you give me a quick rundown on the ocean's of untapped potential? On a scale of 9 to 10, how do you rate Harrison?

I asume you meant a scale of one to ten....
I would rate his current talent level at about a 2, his fouls per 40 are probably in the double digits.
I would rate his potential at a 4, simply because the old saying "you can't teach size" and he has plenty of it. The problem is, after four years in the league, he should already know how to use that size.
I would rate his likeability at about a 9, he has had some "behavioral" issues in Indiana but for the most part seems like a decent guy that isn't hung up on money and rolling in VIP, and you could invision hanging out with on the weekends (purely speculation).
All in all, I would say you should expect to get 29th overall pick productivity from him!

Re: Hulk Harrison to the Wolves
Very astute assessment about Harrison. And as far as the productivity being what you would expect from a 29th overall pick, I think Harrison may have even over-achieved at times.
29th picks in the draft since the turn of the century...
2000 - Mark Madsen (he does have a ring somehow)
2001 - Steve Logan (did anyone really think he would amount to an NBA PG, was only known from playing with Kenyon Martin, Pete Mikael and Dermarr Johnson at Cincy)
2002 - (Minnesotta forfeited their pick because of the Joe Smith debacle)
2003 - Josh Howard (the exception)
2004 - David Harrison (Shaq-Fu when he wants to)
2005 - Wayne Simien (heck of a player in college, didn't do squat in the NBA)
2006 - Mardy Collins (drafted by the Knicks, enough said)
2007 - Alando Tucker (has decent potential but didn't get much burn in Phoenix last year)

Re: Hulk Harrison to the Wolves
looking at that list, I'd say he could be Mark Madsen if he ever makes peace with the refs.

Re: Hulk Harrison to the Wolves
Well Gizmoduck, I think Hulk's absolute ceiling is Jamaal Magloire, but not the All-Star caliber year that Magloire had.
He's about good to come in for about 4-8 minutes a night, pick up 3-5 fouls, and maybe block a shot.

Hulk is good for a block or two, and willing to run the floor in transition.
Rest in Peace, Pacerfan
